Meeting Jack Dylan Grazer on Fanmio Part 6 - November 7th, 2021

Jack was definitely more excited to see me that time. It still startles me to be greeted that enthusiastically, but deep inside, it feels amazing to be spoken to and praised like a dear friend. I talked to him briefly about how my summer was, showed off a couple of rings I bought from Taylor Swift's merch store, and I took the opportunity to confirm that I received his autographed portrait shot from VShout. I have a common name of Anglo-Norman origin, though most people refer to it as "Wesley" and the "t" is often either silent or absent. It must be why I stood out to Jack when my order was forwarded to him. Ron's Gone Wrong, a film he was blessed to be a part of, premiered a month before this session took place so I gathered he was referring to that movie. Maybe I'm wrong and he could be referring to the short, "Ciao, Alberto" instead, but either way, he loves my support. 😃
The rings I was wearing during my session were a replica the titular album ring designed by Cathy Waterman and the "arcade ring" from Swift's folklore collection. :)

Awwwwww, thank you. It really made my weekend. Though it doesn't look like Jack is holding another virtual meet-and-greet in the future, I'll show up when another one is announced. Or at least if I happen to be around when he's holding an in-person event. Jack is the kind of dude I wish I was best friends with growing up because he challenges me to be more spontaneous and think outside the box. I love that chemistry. 😊

@@sevenblueprints5276 Now that you mentioned it, I couldn't agree more. The way I visualize our friendship is that normally, I'd be slow to step into an Olympic-sized pool if the water is cold, but if he were already in, he'd grab my arm and pull me under to encourage me to "go for it". Or he'd be the type of friend who'd show up at my house out of the blue to persuade me to go on an outing if he noticed I was keeping to myself. I implied something like that in my third interaction with Jack in a heartfelt note I read to him after I watched a show he did on HBO Max that he recommended. Probably not because it got free advertising, but because it would mean the world to him if I checked it out. It's this extroverted and fearless side of him that's contagious.

@@westleynelson8960 that’s an excellent analogy which I totally see as well. As an introverted person myself, he also inspires me to be more fearless in my interactions and a risk-taker in life. I’ve been a fan of his since the age of 16. I’m now 20 years old and am rejoiced to witness the man he is becoming. Though he doesn’t know of my existence, we’ve lived our respective adolescences in tandem and I will forever feel a connection with him. It makes me so happy to see that he can have a positive effect on the youth that constitute his fan base but even people of all ages. (In fact, I’m sure he’s been told that he has an old soul despite being a child at heart). I know you’ve heard about the allegations of abuse with his ex-girlfriend as I saw your reply to a comment on another video inquiring about your opinion on those. I agree with you in the strong belief that those are false accusations. It just seems so inconsistent with Jack’s personality and everything he stands for. I really don’t buy it. Anyways, I wish you all the best in your pursuits, Westley, it’s been lovely getting to know you through your chats with Jack! (Also, sorry it took me a while to answer your comment on my reply haha!)

@@sevenblueprints5276 That’s amazing you feel this connected to him and I’m delighted. :D I’m not surprised that Jack is described as an old soul because he’s not stuck-up and materialistic. He practically couldn’t care less about being in the spotlight because he lives his life off-screen as if he is a regular teenager entering adulthood. It must be why he genuinely cares about the fans he chats with and acts so silly on his Instagram stories. I can relate to growing up with an actor around my age because I felt the same way while watching the Harry Potter films and Nickelodeon and Disney Channel sitcoms a lot growing up. Seeing the main cast from each franchise grow up in the process makes them all the more sentimental. :D I'm aware of the allegations against Jack, but I don’t want to talk about it without getting a panic attack that stemmed from a long story. The week before I interacted with him a second time was when I experienced horrendous verbal abuse from someone I cared deeply for. He messed with my head so significantly that for some days, I actually thought I don’t deserve love and that I’m doomed to fail. I received a similar comment in the video where I first interacted with Jack and as much as I wanted to reiterate what I said before, I’m increasingly scared of being cyberbullied in the comments and getting called an “abuse apologist” from someone that believes everything they read on social media (Twitter especially because it’s a cesspit). Even without knowledge of the abuse that affected me, Jack snapped me out of it. In the HBO Max show he recommended me to watch, he portrayed an anguished teen that reminded me of how all over the place I felt while attending high school. It didn’t take one session for this to happen, but rather building this friendship allowed fractured pieces of what was left of me to slowly fit together until I became functional enough to open up my abuse in a video I uploaded last December. I’ve never seen anyone happy to see me for the sake of it the way Jack does so for him to abuse his ex-girlfriend based on what was posted about him is too outrageous to believe. People can make up any story they want about a public figure so I hate it when they call my celebrity interactions “interviews” because it makes it seem like I’m affiliated with a tabloid. The reality is I use my interactions as a way to cope with social anxiety. I’m happy you are able to get to know me through my videos because if you ever met me in public, I’d be much more awkward and timid. Your kindness puts a smile on my face and when I interact with Jack again, I hope to see you around. :)

Thank you so much, mate. If people watch my conversations with him starting from August the year before all the way to this video, they can literally see that friendship develop. It's magical to watch and look back on. Unfortunately, reaching out to him outside of events organized by Fanmio or a similar organization is still a fantasy at this point, but anything is possible. Jack is a sweet guy and I'm sure if I see him again be it another video chat or in person, it would make his day. 😊
