The bulk of the following in the NOI in the 60's came by way of Malcolm X. Before Malcolm X came aboard out of prison, the Nation had but a few followers (about 400). It was his connection with the Black Community, they came in droves and grew larger. As a young man living in Mississippi l was one of them. If I was an African American I would go through the Nation First then go to Main Stream Islam in the Nation I can learn my African American History. then join as a Main Stream Muslim, It is a shame that when I took African American History in 10th grade my the teacher is a Black pure Christian he refused to include African Muslims History in his test, however a White Jew did allow Muslims and Islam in his test to me and other students in his World History Class. I already have my mind set If I was an African American I would go through the Nation First then go to Main Stream Islam.

This is not in accordance with the teachings of Islam. You cannot reach truth from falsehood. It is permissible, nay mandatory, to learn your history and fight for justice in your society as the Qur’an tells us to enjoin good and forbid evil. You cannot learn your history through that which is false. Our history is not black history but human history. It goes back thousands of years back to Adam A.S. from whom all human beings came. We are all brothers in humanity. It is nothing more than a great deception from the Shaytaan to think that you can reach Islam through that which is un-Islamic. You do not know if you will be alive after wasting many years in the NOI. If you die whilst knowing Islam was the truth and said your Shahada and never practiced Islam all because you believed a lie from the Shaytaan, you will be held accountable for it on the day of Judgement. May Allah guide us towards the straight path. Not the path of those who have brought his anger. Nor of those who have gone astray.
