I like the fact you are picking up on those little dialogues and hints the story is throwing at you. By the time you finish the game, the story is going to blow you away. It's truly amazing imo.

so much symbolism in this game. the pyramid head cutscene, the otherworld transitions, everything has meaning. the more the game unfolds, the more deterioration james’ mind takes. this is why the more you go progress, the more dilapidated and gross the world becomes around you, enveloping you in james’ subconscious. as for your comments about progression being slow, that’s intentional. the game wants to make you feel hopeless and isolated. the areas intentionally designed to turn you around and make you feel lost, almost like navigating a labyrinth, which in this case, is james’ mind

the moments like 1:30:32 are iconic moments of the original games which in this game has been changed a little bit, that in particular is the place where you fight against piramid head in the original. I think its like a symbol for the old fans.

i just ignored shooting the boss. it makes the timer take longer but you save ammo. Funny how Alyska was shooting him in the head after rightfully pointing out it's metal earlier on :D

1:05:11 those are kinda like a little wink or references to the original game. they're usually objects or places that were pretty relevant there and that have been changed in the remake

25:34 for a long time the Silent Hill fanbase had the notion that Pyramid Head was doing something to the legs in this scene sexually, but the creator of Pyramid Head himself actually passionately debunked this by clarifying that Pyramid Head is in fact trying to put them down the sink and kill them. So anyone who says that Pyramid Head is doing something crazy weird is wrong, he is just trying to get rid of them.
