stock splits are simple. share price gets cut by 10, number of shares multiplied by 10. that's it. the amount of money you have invested doesn't change. If you have 100 shares at $1000, you will now own 1000 shares at $100 after the split.

Imagine you have a pie cut into 10 slices, then you cut it to make 100 slices. You still have one pie just much smaller slices so more people can have some. You don’t lose money. You receive 10x shares and the price goes to 1/10th to compensate.

I think what you mean by prorated is adjusted by percent. If so, yes. If you had 1.5 shares of 100 outstanding and they did a 10:1 split to make the overall share count 1000, then you'd have 15 shares out of the 1000 shares outstanding.

Nvidia is currently generating cash yes, however 45% (what about $11B) of their data center is from companies that have been pumping their revenue numbers on chips sales now for a year. When the other mega caps finish out their data centers they will not need nearly so much from Nvidia, then toss in that once the hype dies down you'll be looking at 5+ american companies all running data centers with the top "top chips" then you will have some chinese companies which have already announced discounts competing for sign ups creating an environment for data center price cuts and further reduce revenues. As far as blackwell, sounds like bridged h100s, will bring some revenue i'm sure but not nearly as much as when the datacenters were being built out. Will not be so shocked if in a year revenue is down by close to 50%
