@@TheSingingGuitar Have the same idea moreorless. But here's the thing. If you suddenly get hospitalized for anything really bad, your Health Care Fund better be big enough to cover surgeries and hospital stay which may hit 6 figures. I think we need to keep insurance for the extended coverage cash can't cover. The problem is you (me also) don't work for a company or government which subsidizes health insurance. The answer therefore is to create a system that does that function. I would never advocate murder but that guy is a valedictorian and hes not that far off base if you ask me. He could have done better if he used that talent to make changes through political activism etc. Health care today is HORRIBLE if you dont have money. Now he has to hope he isnt on death row so he can use his talents in prison.

Lmao how old are you? You think no one thought about reforming the system through political means before?

Man I don't know if "activism" does anything anymore. These companies have so much control and influence, it's really hard to have an effect without doing something drastic. Or at least to start having any effect.

I broke my leg, in May, to the point that Doctor's thought it might have to be amputated. I had 5 surgeries, 2 rehabs & 5 hospital admissions (had 2 complications). I'm not sure how much it all cost because I stopped counting after 1 million dollars. I have excellent insurance that is paying all of it. I don't even know what I would have done had I had to pay for any of it.

What is red rum, and what is justice or just business as usual are matters of personal perception. Don't put me on this guys jury, he's not guilty of red rum in my mind!

Insurance companies should be transparent and held accountable for opaque, hidden or cloudy description of their coverage. Agents make an enormous amount of money, and I've heard that 70-80% of a policy is put in their pocket.

I have United healthcare and after having my first child wanted to talk to a therapist but they denied me and I couldn’t afford it. The stress of dealing with a huge bill wasn’t helping so I gave up therapy, accepted that I was on my own and joined a gym. I workout brutally for 2 hours a day. It helps. I’m lucky I only had postpartum depression and that I was able to navigate it all on my own. Therapy would have been a help
