Man, you guys totally caught me off guard at the end. You were crying and talking about her getting so big and growing up and it totally made me cry. My only child who is 18, graduated this past school year, so this year is very different for me. No more buying school clothes or supplies or driving him to and from school. He now works full time and drives himself and it's a whole new chapter for our family. So I totally lost it when you started talking about your baby growing up. Ugh, it goes so fast. This was precious. I agree that it’s the parents job to be their child’s first teachers and help lead them on their pathway through life. Ha, my mom never wears make up. And I’m a first born like Brielle but I’m an only daughter. I my mom never wore make up. So I never was encouraged to wear make up.Serious, make up never even entered my mind. So, when I was entering HS my parents booked a “Mary Kay cosmetics” party. It was so cute. I invited six friends over. And we had a make up tutorial party. We each had our own make up station set up around the dining room table. We were all taught and presented how to apply make up. Then when I turned sweet 16, my Dad booked my mom and I a private beauty session called “color me beautiful”. The specialist lady taught my mom and I how to wear correct colors that went well with our skin coloring. And we learned what colors to avoid. So Brielle asking to wear make up, isn’t anything I can identify with. It was my parents who lead the way to help me learn how to present myself in world of fashion and make up. I suppose I wasn’t interested because I had four brothers and no sisters and a mom who didn’t wear make up. Brielle looked beautiful and sweet as always. The girls wear make up for Dance so they are used to wearing it and are aware of how make up amps up your appearance. I had no clue. And your choices were all fantastic! Have a great school year. P.s. I have a razor story too. In middle school all my friends were shaving. I asked to be taught how to shave. I was rejected and said “no once you start shaving there is no turning back. Your hair grows faster each time”. So my hair was still light and not noticeable so my parents refused me shave. Well in 8 th grade my mom had her razor out on her tub. I was bathing in her bath tub on my own. And I just went helped myself to shave. All my friends were shaving. Well I didn’t know about soaping up my leg first. Then of course I cut my leg . Long gash stripe one line. Got scared and screamed. Not big scrape. But that scared me for a while. Didn’t shave again until high school. So, I had some growing pains for sure. Brielle is leading her siblings at great pace. 👍❤️

In the last video I thought 'brielle has grown up overnight!'. In fact I am certain over the summer Brielle has turned from a little girl into a young woman. She has always appeared more mature than her peers of similar ages in my opinion but oh my goodness she has blossomed. (Brielle, don't be embarrassed about personal hygiene and looking after yourself... Own it!! You are such a wonderful example to other pre teens with your hard work, dedication and commitment to your dance. You clearly work hard at school and your contributions to the family vlog are heartfelt and honest as well. Your confidence is an asset to you so own whatever it is and don't worry about being embarrassed... You are going to succeed in everything you set your mind too!)

Awe! I love this and SO get it though I have a one and only and it is a boy...LOL! You still go through the stages even with boys. Not as dramatic I think. But still there. Hope she and all the kiddos have a great year. Brielle I feel has a really good head on her shoulders already and possibly dance and the discipline that goes along with it may have helped. And of course great parenting as you two ARE amazing and the love shines through without a doubt! Win win. She will be great and have a feeling she will be just fine!! She's go this!!

I totally feel your pain on the jump from 5th to 6th grade. I have only 1 daughter. She began this phase only a month into 5th grade and this year she is in 6th and it's her last year of elementary school. (Crying). She doesn't wear make-up at all yet but everything else that could change, has. I'd love a tip on how to coax my child into shaving her own legs and under arms bc for over a year now I'm stuck doing it. So I gotta do it for me and for her. She refuses to touch a razor and her skin is too sensitive tried the cream that removes the hair after you rinse it off, and no luck. Girls. Ty I only have 1. 😳🥰🤣
