Thanks Jonny and Web. The only thing you missed was the shopping district and cafeteria on E deck with 4 themed shops but after 50 minutes i'll let you off. :D Couldn't agree more about the deck b,c and d all merging together, and getting a bit boring. I initially wanted to make the each unique with more shopping districts or flat rides but i just ran out of time and maxed out my rides (I put 450+ hours, so i now know my absolute limit what i can do in 2 months). in hindsight i should of blocked off the dead ends, since i didn't have time for the shops, but was torn between making every area reachable by path. Was hoping that the map and POI's would have helped in that regard. But enough of that, really enjoyed the video.

Yea.. reducing it with one level.. or even two.. would probobly be benfical.. but i guess. that was probobly close to impossbile after starting to build.

@@matsv201 once i decided on the HH it kind of sealed my fate, its as low has it could go and still hits the bottom of the cathedral. If i were to do it again, you're right i would remove a deck and it would give me more time to make the other 2 better
@johnhirschfeld61964 жыл бұрын
i don't think there's anything wrong with the decks the way they are, if you're following movie/novel fidelity. level D and C are like middle class, and i saw definite improvement with like balconies and such on B. i think it's very well done. the dead ends could have had a shop at the end to make it worth getting there, but otherwise it's absolutely gorgeous and if it were a real park, i would enjoy all these paths to just walk and chill.

Jonny and Web, wanted to point out that the Ferris Wheel was actually a "transport ride" between the floors, it's why you see the platforms jutting towards the Ferris Wheel cabins on each floor.
@matsv2014 жыл бұрын
Is it functioning or decorative?
@DancerDude4 жыл бұрын
@@matsv201 You can’t actually manipulate the Ferris Wheel to stop at exact points and open the doors of the cabin, but it’s SCReconcile’s take on an alternative transport ride if it were an option to operate as such.
@spaceactivistarchive41804 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about that as there are platforms on every level but they never showed a main loading area. Thought maybe it just had lots of emergency exits.
@DancerDude4 жыл бұрын
@@spaceactivistarchive4180 The main loading area can be seen from the Horror Heights at @38:14!! That’s one of the beauties of this creation, is that almost every flat ride and main ride interacts with one another at some point.

Loved the movie! And this creation really does it justice! I disagree with all of Johnny's gripes. This park is absolutely amazing, wonderful, and perfect! The integration of all of the rides with the city is superb! I actually like the maze of city streets, makes it feel more like a densely populated city, not just an amusement park. Top notch! Legendary!
@micycles12004 жыл бұрын
Damn it. I feel so bad. I said that the space park was going to win. I can't say that anymore. This is it. This is the winner. SC Reconcile, you are King Coaster from here on out. Who can top this? Really? Nobody is going to beat a FREAKING TANK! Unless they have a battleship to beat it with, there's no way that any of the Masters or Legends are going to be able to compete. I said it in the last contest and I'll say it in this one: SC Reconcile is in a league of his own. He's gone beyond legendary. This is a godly creation. Whatever nitpiks Johnny and Web have are so unbelievably miniscule compared to the majesty that is the movable fortress. Hats off and bow down to the the reigning King Coaster himself, SC Reconcile. We are not worthy to stand in his presence.

For Channel5 Gaming crew, who don't seem getting the idea: Mortal Engines its actually Post Apocalyptic Scifi Movie, telling about Traction Cities, whole cities that are moved by tractor engines. Movie itself its a mix of Post Apocalkyptic Scifi, Assassins Creed and good adventure. Definetly recommendated to watch.

@RommerskirchenFrank4 жыл бұрын
To be 100% honest: I have mixed feelings... I bow down for the creativity and the depth of construction, details, that you can believe everything... the way to use the rides as engines and stuff is amazingly creative and an inspiration for builders to come. I was staring at all the details, grasping the atmosphere.... But then, unfortunately, it started to become a bit boring, like you are over saturated... you are happy to find another entrance to a ride and to be entertained again... The rides itself are impressive. The shooting ride? Phenomenal!!!. The coaster? Fantastic!!! The ferris wheel? Hmmm at the lower decks a bit claustrophobic but then, up at the cathedral... bammmmmmm.... The cathedral? Majestic! But how do one rate this? I am not sure, because I am moved between being highly amazed and bored at the same time... weird...
@matsv2014 жыл бұрын
Yea... I was actually suggesting building a traction city in the competition announcement: but was thinking something like a 3 level city with a bit higher on every level. That would probobly made it a lot easier for the builder He peobobly needed to put 20 rides in it to feal like it was alive. It would be intresting to modofiy lavel D and C and put more rides into them

A little extra info about Mortal Engines helps to understand the theming. While the lower deck engine workers and upperdeck city leaders are kinda similar to the Snowpiercer comparison, the REAL slum's are more the people that are not part of this particular city on wheels. The main "engine" from the movie was post collapse London and they would feed their engine by roaming through remains of old abandoned cities and less fortunate populated ones. There are other civilizations that survived but none as feared as London on wheels, the viewing points looking out were actually for residents to observe the hunts of smaller vehicles and towns on wheels.

I love the books, and I'm incredibly impressed that this works as something clearly inspired by the books (it even reminds me of a land-based version of Brighton from the third book) but doesn't just shove in a load of cheap references. It's kind of the flaw with building something to resemble an actual town, that you have to have what to the people who live there are routes to their houses, but to us are dead ends. I'd say it's contribution to the whole outweighs its individual lack of use as if there weren't there, the theme wouldn't have been as strong. And my word is that theming strong. The best way aroudn it would be to give each house a postbox with a moderator/comunity members name on it. Would be a lot more work but turns it into a fun adventure rather than another "here's a dead end" moment.
@matsv2014 жыл бұрын
He could put in loads and loads of interaction poitns like claw machines.. just to make the dead end a bit more populated. But this parl could peobobaly swallow 2000 people and it would still be deselated.

It perfectly brings back the feeling of the Movie. And im so impressed, how good all the rides are integrated. Very goog job. The only thing, i have NOT liked (just in my personal opinion) is: The spawning point of the guests / park entrance. In my opinion, it destoys a little of the concept, of a moving town, when theres a Bridge to get on this town. Maybe it would have been better, to set the spawning point IN the town. But thats just my opinion. Anyway. I love this

my advice for you, to make your Spotlights even better: please inform yourselves about the movies (or any other topic) the parks are about. There are so many details, and so many places that totally make sense in the context of the movie and would blast your review for this one. I have noticed this issue before, e.g. at Spongebobs Park where there were so many missed details.
@zero_foxpants4 жыл бұрын
Of course, that would be neat, but these guys had to do a shit-ton of work to get through all the submissions and produce these spotlights, so I think it's a little too much to ask, to be honest. 😉 Also references, easter eggs and other details are nice, but they should be the cherry on top and not the actual meat and bones of your creation. If something only makes sense in the context of your source material and not in the context of this being a themed mini-park, then it's still valid criticism.. in a contest for themed mini-parks.

Mortal Engines is a book series where all of humanity has gone mobile, major cities, and even some smaller ones have been put on treads and now move around seeking resources and new people. Theres also a society of people who dont believe in that and instead choose to fly, or live on the ground. The main big city of the world is London which this park is definitely most inspired by. Highly recommend, good read. Don’t watch the movie, pray with me we get an hbo show instead.

It is like a mobile city. Once you enter you must move in. Maybe all of the places labeled some texts are actually apartments and condos. Maybe you can buy part of the complex and have a business like the manager of a apartment complex or a restaurant. This will help pay for your rent, food, clothes,etc. You keep on getting lost so you have to move in and never leave. Shooting ride with people dying means that you will die there. O no! The we have entered the ship and we are trapped. We can,t leave. Oh no! We have accidentally entered the enemy's ship where they plan to kill as many civilians as possible. It is a mobile war zone. We are doomed. At least we will have fun till we die from being shot from the shooting ride. I guess the secret to a long life is to stay on the top decks. But for how long until we will want to go on the shooting ride where we meet our doom. The enemy is so evil. 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀😱😱😱😱😱😱🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👻👻👻👻👻👻

I'm about half way through the video at the point, and I see a fatal flaw in this design. This is a masterpiece... but it's only half done. To have those long corridors like that, and especially to have them end in dead ends, you NEED to fill that space with stuff. More shops, more rides, more easter eggs, etc., and frankly, I don't think PlanCo HAS enough of those things to really do the job well. You definitely need as many of what the game DOES have on EACH LEVEL, not just relegated to a "food court" area. Yeah, they are supposed to be people's homes, but the game doesn't support people going into and out of "homes" like that. Again, I'm only half way through at this point, but the park just isn't that interesting, and as wowed by it as they are, I can tell that Johnny and Web are frustrated by it at this point.
@strangeworldsunlimited7124 жыл бұрын
So, Johnny pretty much repeated my suggestion, about a minute later in the video. Something like this just needs more. More what? More everything. Everything that PlanCo offers, spread throughout the "park".
