TFanPage101 The weird rarities is what stopped me collecting the sets. I had huge numbers of ugly Spartans compared to the massable troops. Jackals and grunts (especially in game appropriate colours) seemed so damn hard to get.

I would love to get a grunt just in general, but in my area they have just stopped selling halo mega construx since the rebrand, they used to have a few sets then just stopped stocking any halo or mega construx items. They sell the big blocks but have stopped with the halo stuff all together. I need to buy online if I want any and even then there is no where that sells online that would have decent shipping costs instead of it being $50 +.

They buy out every copy of something as soon as they hit shelves, then mark them up since they now have a monopoly on that thing. That means that people like Jang need to buy from the scalpers because what he needs to review just isn't available anywhere close to him. The only way to counter this is to eliminate the scarcity that allows the scalpers to buy all of that thing.

Target is really the best place to find Mega Construx stuff right now. They had a full stock of Halo Heroes series 9, even Jorge. Haven't you done some reviews of these blind bags without the ultra rares before? If they get super hard to find, I would say just do that. Review the series minus the super rare.

this frigate is a Paris class frigate, the Forward Unto Dawn in Halo 3 is a Charon class Frigate. the Frigate in Halo 4 is a strident class frigate.

I believe it was in the same wave as the big cryo chopper thing that had the brute version of the mech but I'm not about to drop 200 on a set with an inferior style of mech and no Johnson. Edit: at least on amazon. All of my local targets and walmarts have an abysmal selection. I was lucky to see the hellboy figure at a walmart after they did a mod reset.

Back in the mid 90s, I already had a good deal going with TRU, getting Star Wars figures. They just started doing store exclusives. I then went into Target every day, waiting for 12" Luke and Wampa (Hoth); the store managers got to know me (another good relationship), and one evening they told me the set would be put out that night, after closing. I showed up the next morning, at opening, and sure enough, the stickers were there but no toy. One register was open, and I was the only one there when the doors unlocked. Long story short (too late); I informed manager, manager confronted cashier, she caved and pulled the SKU from her drawer....night stock people bought the only two they received. A big no-no for Target. He called them and told them to bring them back or they were fired. I got my store exclusive. Managers will do a lot (or not because my local store now is horrible, I drive 20 minutes instead of five to deal with a cooler manager and store overall) if you let them know your issue. I too think the clear is by far one of the coolest figs seen.

Really love this series. I am gonna amass an army of halo 3 era marines, brute minors, and grunt minors. The grunts will be hard to acquire due to their rarity in the series. Love the game/universe accurate designs on them, absolutely incredible. On the bad side however, my wallet will hate me for a while. :)

Totally agree, Jang. Mega distribution in general has become so weak, my Target store has reduced their shelf spot to a shared end cap with other non LEGO products. Add in the scalpers and I gave up trying to collect them anymore. Only grab a few figures I can mass, like this series Marine. Plus a few heroes series characters, if I am lucky to find any. Not sure if it is a Mattel thing. I just rely on your videos to enjoy them now.

This is one of the very first Mega Construx Halo toys I picked up. One of my Walmarts accidentally wrote the price as $1.50 a pack so I was able to get each of the figures for incredibly cheap.

Where do the sets usually hit first? And remember if you have the Infinity Halo Mega Construx set, the Spirit of Fire and "Not Forward unto Dawn" can be used as the support ships that the set was originally supposed to be released with

My area only sells the old mega bloks giant bricks, I haven’t seen any mega construx in years, since the re branding, may of been the first wasp they made into a set. They used to sell big sets, blind bags and the whole lot but have just stopped. I’m annoyed because I would love a lot of the sets that have been released recently due to have collected a huge amount of them in the past.

The new comic con exclusive chief set I really wanted but scalpers got them. I mentioned it on a video and I had a dozen people saying they got 2 or 3 or them. They were immediately marked up too 2 times the original sale value and id have to pay 3 times the original price if I wanted delivery aswell

I got the Crimson and Blue/Gray grunts from the past blind packs. But unfortunately I couldn't track down the orange one. People often track down the codes and cherry pick figures. Kinda sucks Haha.

I guess I was fortunate, because my mini FuD, which was the only one of this series that I wanted, due to liking mini models, was the second blind bag that I touched when I was hunting for it in a local Target using codes. On a separate note, Jang, would you be able to design a FuD that looked like that mini model, but split apart the way that the big one does, and maybe is able, with two stands, to be displayed split, like the big one can be?

Oddly enough I managed to get the blue clear cutter x2 and x2 of the infinity while expecting a couple commons and maybe 1 rare. But the grunts I noticed were most likely cherry picked from the case.

Scalpers usually hit Target, walgreens and Walmart. But if you're clever you will find a little store that sells mega. I won't name it though because scalpers watch this channel....In this store they keep their blind packs relatively hidden....Today i found two Foxtrot blind packs. One of them had the rare cherry red MKIV spartan with the energy sword!. They must have been sitting there for years. They even still said mega bloks. Pre name change.
