This is probably one of Mega’s best Banshee builds. I’ve got the 2018 Banished one, and this is definitely a substantial improvement. Plus, it looks sick in the heretic colors.

It takes some playing but you can get the banshee to fully close with arbiter inside. I think the reason they show it partly opened on the box is because it an Easter egg copying the Halo CE box art

I had an old banshee set from way back during the Halo Wars days, but by now most of the pieces are probably missing or broken. On top of that Halo 2 was the first Halo game I played the story of. I feel this will make for an excellent showpiece as well as a great way to revive some of that nostalgia

Wasn’t too sure I was gonna want to get this right away but I think I do now! That arbiter is amazing plus I don’t actually have a covy banshee that is built (had 3 or so from back in the day but it would take some serious work and digging through parts to rebuild it haha). Hopefully mega will make the heretic elites into a battle pack or something along with the grunts because it’s gonna suck to army build the elites at 25 a pop. Nice video as always man😌👍

@@DemarcationMedia yeah definitely. The old space banshees weren’t as bulky as I recall but the biggest improvement by far for the new one is no more stickers haha…also if i remember correctly the wings on the new banshee are much sleeker and narrower than the older ones.

Only thing I really don't like, and I haven't seen anyone else mention this, is how he reuses sesas jetpack instead of replacing it with the back fins the normal heretics are supposed to have

One way I've found a way to sorta fix the problem with the issue you had with the heretic elite was to stab a pin through the torso where you put the arms cause it always seem that there is too much plastic on the inside and I stab through that plastic till the arm can move smoother and stay in place.

Also this solution doesn't work sometimes. I've done it on the elite in the garrison and it works pretty good now but did it with a grunt figure and after an hour of work it still had the same problem.

They could have made this a location set with the characters included reminiscent of the actual boss fight in The Arbiter Mission, this could have been an add on set with more generic chacretes do collectors could army build and display/create a battle diorama with the arbiters forces and the heretic leaders.

I believe that HALO 2 Mega Construx sets are a rare sight to see, however almost all of them are amazing and worth it. This is one of these sets! The fact that the figures look like they were from the heroes series and the fact that we finally get a form of a Heretic Banshee is awesome. I'm definitely going to pick this up for all those reasons and the fact that we're finally getting a normal banshee since the 10th anniversary one from the Aerial Ambush. We even get a regular Heretic Elite for the first time. I love the idea of making the parts used to change the Banshee types into a barricade which is awesome for play and imagination. The set does have some flaws, mainly the fact that you can't army build this set because of the named characters that are included and that the Heretic Banshee has too little gold (Some people believe that the Heretic Banshee is pure gold, however this statement is false, it has some purple). Awesome review 11/10, filled with information, thoughts, and opinions. Still excited for the Falcon Sweep, might be my favorite set soon. Mega Construx's quality is getting better and better and the fact that they listen to fans makes me believe that it may beat LEGO someday. I just realized I wrote a whole essay/review about how cool this set is...

You have a point, Halo 2 stuff isn't common these days but when Mega does do one, it's really good. The Heretic Banshee definitely didn't need more gold, though it could have used some print for all the circuitry and whatnot on the main cockpit piece. If the Falcon Sweep is as good as this set, it may end up being the best set of the year.

What I meant by more gold for the Heretic Banshee conversion was the sides and back having more gold in the game, I agree with your circuitry printing idea that would make a lot of sense. The Heretic Banshee seems to be mostly gold and small patches of purple in game, so it feels like there’s a bit too much purple.

I got Sesa already as the Halo Heros or whatever. It wasnt till i just saw it here that i learned i can stuff his jetpack behind his armor....🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️3 yrs and now its so obvious. Also i love these heritics so much. Most unique elites we've ever seen in halo. Wish they made some heritic grunts.

This would go nicely with that Falcon sweep set hopefully both are just widely available so it can get into more hands. I won't be converting it/displaying it as the Heretic version utter HERESY! so i'll be keeping it that good old covenant purple, probably won't end up putting a figure in as i prefer the closed/flush look. But that's very disappointing as they managed to do it for the infinite banished banshee so why not here. I think you should do a comparison to the infinite banished version to see the differences/improvements or downgrades looking forward to this so i can add/start my Reach display and add to my infinite one.

The original halo banshe used from Halo CE through Halo 3 ODST closed its canopy at an angle so, in reality Mega's version is accurate. Great review mate, can't wait to get this set!

The Aerial ambush banshee is nearly identical to this banshee. difference is the canopy cover color and a couple part changes on the end of the wings. Other than that it's the same. I honestly like this banshee more. The colors have better contrast and look more like a traditional banshee

11:00 easiest way to solve that problem is i would take the shoulder armor off and push em all the way in there, lik3 really jam em up in there until it's tight as a nail but if pushing it with force doesn't work well then do some twist while pushing em, works very well for me

The heretics will fit. You have to lean them forward, pointing their rubber jetpack towards the front. Their legs will stick up in the air if done right. Then the canopy will close all the way

In the games, the banshees are fully closed however the small gap left when it is, is accurate
