I think it's hilarious when that skinless zombie dude sees his friends being eaten by the first boss and is like "Oh hell no!" And turns to run away but sees Rick and is like "I'd rather be eaten!"
@Davtwan
@Davtwan 12 жыл бұрын
To those who are curious about the return of the house, I'll explain. At the intro, you actually saw remains of the first house that was burned down in the first game. However, there is another mansion right by the lake. On the subject of the mask, the end of the first game showed the mask being revived. As the third game explains, it feeds off the misery of others to sustain itself. The intro said Rick was being "haunted by guilt and tormented by nightmares." The mask was living off Rick.

take namco, like in this case, if spatterhouse was to end on a 16 bit console it is clear that it was going to be megadrive, and not Snes, unlike whirlo which is more Disney like snes style
@Bloodreign1
@Bloodreign1 3 жыл бұрын
@@thefunframe7912 Whirlo is hardly Disney-like, it is a prequel to one of Namco's best arcade games, Legend of Valkyrie/Valkyrie no Densetsu. The story for Whirlo/Sandra no Daibouken is rather dark, with the hero's son dying of a mysterious ailment from some falling ash like substance, and Whirlo/Sandra Kurino must go out and find a cure for his son before he dies.

Fun fact: in the opening, the original line is "Go to the hidden house." instead of "Go back to the house." I believe this was because Splatterhouse 1 was rare outside of arcades and not everyone knew that the house burned down at the end of the first game.

One of the things I loved the most of this game was the soundtrack and the small details in the background that gave the bosses and every little enemy some kind of personality. Reminds me how the old arcade Splatterhouse had so many details in it but was heavily censored and reworked when it was ported to the consoles. Long live Namcot!

***** sonic has a purpose, the same as mario. as both companies have games specifically adressed to the general public, of course but please, focus on the catalog, on the titles of each console, and focus on the censorship that for the same game and others that you have in nintendo that you don't have in sega, now look a the big picture. You can't deny that sega has allways bee more mature than childish nintendo. Censorship and childish to the point of the insult of its potential users.

you may declare whatever, evidence is evidence and it is not going anywhere. i am not talking about hardware, i am talking about company politics, company aim, potential clients and marketing. At the end it is a company and profit is the god. if nintnodo think it is more profitable to censor and aim its product to children, i am sure it was based on an extensive previous market sampling and maketing research, which very surelly showed that not taking party, not getting dirty, and being the disney company of videogames assured better profits than orienting to more mature audiencies. it was their choice to be childish. Sega has my respect for taking risks with the release of far more mature games. nintendo don't have my respect.

shadowshinobi06 As you say, only in japan. bare knucke 3 (streets of rage 3) featured a gay stereotyped enemy that was even censored in europe (where they normally don't censor or censor much lesser than in the USA. both sistems have some japan only games that do not apply. if we take an comple list of games and not isolated cases, (of both consoles) we both know, that the policy of sega was by far much more mature oriented than Nintendo politically correct has been, is and will ever be. Mortal kombat was aproduct of a certin time when the madness for vs fighter games of a race for selling more consoles than sega (when all the tenagers drooled in the times when the bloodier the coolier) if only sega had released them sega would had eaten alive nintnedo. and nitendo was aware fo the money they would be loosing i can remember that in the time some shops opened in the night to get motral kombat, when it was released for both consoles. But speaking in general terms, nintendo has allways treated not to risk, unlike sega which ahas allways been more open to release more innovative and risky software. from them and third parties, despite much of it didn't work too good. good thing about that is that you may still get great sega games at very affordable prices, just because they are not in the guru's list that every dumb without personallity follows.
