@ricardocantoral76723 жыл бұрын
@@timothyroehm4307 Really depends on your taste. If you prefer an fast paced action platformer, then you will love EWJ more than it's successor. However, if you enjoy something that has a slower pace and creative gimmicks, then you would conclude that EWJ 2 surpassed it's predecessor. I happen to be among the people who think that EWJ 2 is superior.

In Sega genesis ram is used most as cache for variables...game inside rom could be accessed directly from it by gpu...ram in this case no matter
@tonmasboy8 жыл бұрын
You couldn't compare snes processor to sega genesis one only by MHZ because they don't share same architecture...Snes processor in single 16bits instruction performs about 1,5 mips while sega genesis 1.38mips...it means snes one is actually way faster in 16bits mode for non complex software like most game in that time...What get sega genesis faster than snes are its DMA and gpu.
@tonmasboy8 жыл бұрын
Okami™ Good answer if it was possible...Z80 works as sound controller...even game like sonic one didn't use z80 as sound processor...the sound driver was in m68000...you could even sync the two CPU's but since Z80 is a 8 bit processor this means z80 MHz has to be divided by two to performs 16bits and M68000 will have to be reduced in speed to follow z80...mips in this case will be drastically diminished...unless you prove that I'm wrong
@tonmasboy8 жыл бұрын
Okami™ Ok...But I don't believe that...M68000 and z80 was intentionally put together to work distinctly and not on same task....m68000 is superior than Ricoh 5A22 when it comes to complex software because it has more register for multi purpose and they're 32bit...good for advanced graphics like poligon-based...but for simple games like majorities of that time, performance is quite same...as I said the far faster DMA and GPU of mega drive are responsible for the marketing of blasting processor...I won't force you to believe but it is true

Those and The Flying King can all die in a fire, levels only put in to add more playtime so you feel that you got your money's worth. I swear western developers didn't quite understand the concept of a gradual difficulty curve, and not a sudden spike. That's something MOST Japanese developers understood, let the player actually have a chance to beat your game, and maybe like your game and buy more games from your development team. Battletoads is another shining example of western developers not having the mindset of having fair difficulty without heavy memorization (though Irem, a Japanese developer, also loved difficulty spikes in their games).
