This game had to be based on pinball games. This game is some sort of fun that you just play it for fun and you can also select up to 4-players.
Toxic Caves level:
This boss seems to be quite easy to defeat and you just simply jump right inside the scorpius and that can lose its tail.
Bonus Stage 1:
I almost had that Jackpot Bonus even I was damn close to win that first bonus stage.
Lava Powerhouse level:
I had little hard time trying to beat this boss about Robothead, then I slip all the way down to where you hang on the chain which is unstable and you have to press left or right
to get off without touching the lava, but I touch the lava and I was like there's no way of getting out of it. I had to use couple of extra ball to have few chances.
Bonus Stage 2: I did fine by busting Eggman's Teeth because it was too ugly. :D
The Machine level:
I tried reaching for the first emerald and then loop right on to the grinding machine. OMG XD Then' it was fine for the second time and that emerald should be quite easy to get to.
In this level you collect 5, not 3.
Bonus Stage 3: This stage was quite easy to beat.
Showdown level:
This is level that I could not possibly pass or beat. When you try to get to emeralds soon one of thing block you from getting it to it. I found the switch to destroy the blocks to the
emeralds and you should collect at least five. Inside Robotnik's Ship, all you have to do is to hit the trigger about four time in order to get him. You hit it about ten times and then he's
dead.

I still remember when I finally beat this game back in 1994. I was 8 years old. It took me a year of playing, but after playing it almost every day I finally beat Dr. Robotnik. 23 years later, I invite some friends over to play some Sega Games for nostalgia, and pick up Sonic Spinball. While everyone could barely get the first single emerald at the beginning, every time it was my turn I'd advance another level, making it to the end and beating Robotnik on the first freaking run through that evening. I felt like such a god gamer. We then switch to Super Smash Bros., wherein my ass was promptly return to me. Good times.

True dedication..! I only ever got up to the machine level properly and got totally confused by that rising flipper on the far left side of the level.. Didn't realise it could go up - so the emerald on that side seemed -nearly- impossibly high to reach! I eventually learned about cheats and so eventually learned about the showdown level.. Still can't beat it (legitimately) though! XD

1) I always thought the mechanical monster in the water was a dragon. 2) I suppose using a "Lava" Powerhouse means; 1. The base is built into a Volcano, 2. The place is always warm during winter 3) Why turn every animal into machines? Wouldn't shock collars get the message through easier? (I am NOT supporting/condoning this guy!) 4) Again with the Space Station Backup Lair? It'sz Death Egg from Sonic 2 all over again. Thank you so much for taking the time to upload this game! I remember that Sonic Spinball and Crüe Ball were two of the first console Pinball games that I played , and loved! If I remember correctly there was one for the TurboGraphx-16 as well. These became some of my favorite games to play other than my favorite sports games. Later when Williams Pinball, Stern's Pinball, and the others came out for the PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, etc. they were at the top of my list to buy. It's another oddity that I became a HUGE fan of home console Pinball 🎮games🎮, but I was just a so-so fan of actual Pinball machines? Huh? Whatever the reason, I still love them all! They can be and are a heck of a LOT OF FUN! Even though it can be as frustrating as hell! LOL! It's one of the few Pinball games where you can actually control the "ball" albeit it's Sonic, not a actual ball. Whatever the case Sonic Spinball is one of my all-time favorite retro games. I still love playing it to this day! My roommate got me a hand-held system that has quite a few Sega Genesis games. Splatterhouse, Thunder Blade, Sonic 1, 2, and Sonic Spinball, Alex Kidd, and quite a few others. It's a really fun hand-held system. Chakan is another game too. These got me back into the retro gaming systems again! The Sega Genesis system was easily by far one of the best systems made, in my opinion. I had the Super-NES as well, and the TurboGraphx-16. I was and AM a gaming fanatic!

Amazing Game, i played that game the most it was frustrating an absolutely freaking awesome, at the result i never passed the first level when i was child. Me and my dad sucked at this game. When I was a kid we played this countless times, and I remember we made it to Robotniks ship 1 time. 1 single frigging time lol. Then many years down the line, I had a tablet and I downloaded the game and decided to play again and see if I could do it. I did finally manage to win, and the amount of success and completion I felt, priceless. Never touched it again after that lol. That's enough game trauma for 1 lifetime 🤣 Edit: actually, I think I may play it again, I recently got a Nintendo Switch, and I would love to see my girlfriend experience the hell that is this game.

I also had no idea that this game had levels and just thought the first part was the whole game. But after seeing the rest of the game, I kind of wish I only knew about the first level now because I get a nice dose of nostalgia from that slimey sewer aesthetic. The art design for that stage was fantastic. Reminds me of Boogerman (Genesis version), Toejam & Earl, Earthworm Jim, and the Ren & Stimpy Genesis game that I loved as a kid. Now I want to wake up on a sunny Saturday morning in 1994, watch a new episode of the Spider-Man animated series, play some slimeball aesthetic Genesis games and then head out for a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's. Being an adult sucks.

I LOVED playing this game as a kid. Got it on the "Sonic Mega Collection" for the Gamecube. I was EXTREMELY close to beating the game but alas, I lost. DX It was my best personal run too. I love how the music sounds in this game honestly the best soundtrack of any other sonic game I wish I could beat this game but since it's difficulty can increase later on in the later levels my chances of beating this game are few and far between not saying it's impossible to beat it but it would require lots of effort and skills to master a game such as this but nonetheless heres hoping that one day I will eventually manage to finish it and beat it

I imagined this game as a Tails game when I played it. Sonic got in the pinball system as the ball when they crashed and Tails managed to hack into the paddles to get him through the fortress.

Oh, this does bring back memories. Desperately trying to launch Sonic into some area...only to MISS and then lose control of the sprite while bouncing off all these surfaces! (And hoping I don't go flying into some "instant death" area.) And, I can practically FEEL the frustration during the Level 3 boss fight -- finally getting inside the machine, only to immediately fall out after two hits...and then go careening in one direction or another!

Not a great game, but I can't say I hate it either. Despite all the hell you go through, it is still satisfying to have so many opportunities for bonus points. XP Also, this is probably the first time I noticed that in the bonus games, you can see Sonic's reflection as he is intensely grasping the pinball table. Cool detail. Hilarious concept: there are a total of 16 Chaos Emeralds in this game, and they are all blue. LOL

I played this so much! I did beat it as a kid, took me a while, I remember being crazy scared of the "almost dying" room with the rope in lava powerhouse. I never thought of it as hard, put as demanding a lot of patience

Am I the only one that found this game extremely terrifying as a kid ? The sound when you stand in the middle and the dragon thing wants to eat you, nightmare fuel for me... Wow... Now it's laughable hahah but the sound still haunts me as a nearly 22 year old adult.

What a challenge of a game this was, so different from the other sonics but the music to the first level omg sometimes I've sang it in my head for no reason. One of the best sonic games ever made
