megaman 11 really suffers from Megaman X3 syndrome, where the compositions are good but the instruments used are awful. This genesis remix does this theme justice

@@thejedisonic67 true that X2 suffers from bad instrumentation especially when compared to X1's ost X3 suffers way more from this. 9's ost while still not as great as the classics it has some standout tracks even if some are a bit more forgettable. Wouldn't say 9 had bad instruments as far as I recall...?

I wouldn't say it's as bad as X3. The electronic instruments were great imo, although that may just from the fact I'm a big fan of electronic music. X2 and X3's overabundance of that whiny guitar was ear grating to me

I'm gonna make an unpopular opinion here, but I actually don't mind the ravey synthy way the 11th game's songs sound. I'd say the only stinker I have on my mind right now is the Wily Capsule fight music, because it kinda sounds like Blowhole Castle from Wario: Master of Disguise and doesn't live up to that grand intro riff, but that might be because I haven't had the time to listen to the entire song yet. Also, something something scrambled eggs. I just had to get it out of my system.

I don’t think Megaman 11 has a bad soundtrack, I just think the game has bad instrumentation. I really enjoy all the songs but only in remakes done on KZbin. The fake synth sadly doesn’t work for me and I don’t think I’m the only one who thinks this to that regard.

It's a "custom" MIDI file that they made on request for me. You have to email them and request for them and pay if you want them. It's a bespoke service so it isn't free, but it's worth the money imo
