Just finished Dr. Lights trial and I agree, those damn spikes were a hit or miss. So annoying! Other than that, the hardest part for me was killing the Wyvern! Good luck.

I did it, along with the rest of the achievements as well. For this achievement, my time was 53:49. If it weren’t for me constantly saving and reloading the game, I probably wouldn’t have beaten this.

Nicely done! If it wasn't possible to save and reload I wouldn't have even attempted it. It does give you that much more appreciation for what actual speedrunners have to go through though.

Damn, you were cutting it close. Good thing the final boss can be done very fast if played correctly (of which I'm not a good example, lol. I fucked up really bad but I knew I had a lot of time left)

Can I save betweeen stages? Can I still make it on time?

Yes! I was saving after each stage I got right. I just edited out when I got to the save screen and come back to the stage select. The time is still going while you are in the save menu, so do it fast. I also was rotating saves just in case I wanted to go back a previous stage (never had to, but it was just to be safe).

I'm still trying to do the speedrun record and the Dr. Wily's Trial record. I saw all the comments already. I thought maybe this would have to be done faster somehow but Ig it's not that strict on the "speedrun" part.

Yeah, that was kind of the point of this video: to show that you don't have to be a speedrunner to achieve it. I had like 15 minutes left by the time I reached the final boss. I wouldn't say the time is leniet, but I wouldn't say it's that strict either. It does require decent playing, at least.

AndresLionheart, if I had about the same (or close to your) skill level as you at playing Mega Man 11, how much time would I have to buy a few items every few stages? Idk why I asked this. What I do know I need to ask is: What items are good enough to buy? I'm using the last 4/8 of the slots for doing records/achievements and if I want to do a stage with all the items that are possible before doing any stages.

@@memechaos_ Mmmh... the only item I considered picking up was that one that lets you move at regular speed during Speed Gear. In the end I don't remember if I forgot or just didn't care. As I mentioned before, and in the description, I was at like 40 minutes when I reached the Boss Rush, so there is plenty of time to go to the store. The Speed Gear upgrade could make up the time lose by itself as well.

Thanks =). It is actually very easy when you write down when to jump and when not to. There is a very clear pattern that can be split in half for easy memorization. Still, when I looked back at that part I don't know why I didn't just shoot another powered Chain Blast for the kill instead of that chaged Buster shot.

Makes sense. And quite honestly I'm on the last two trophies of the game, but I don't think I can get them: Dr. Light's trial (I always die at room 4 :( ) and the speed run.

Well, those 2 are the most difficult trophies after all. I also uploaded a video of my first clear of the trial, but it's unlisted. If it helps you, here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJSpamedhNOjY6c I also died on room 4 a few times, lol. But beside that it went fairly well. For the speedrun I would recommend doing one stage at a time. The first 2 took me about 5 minutes each, but the rest are way shorter, on top of having more weapons to better deal with different enemy placements. What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't worry if it takes a bit too long for the first few stages because you can recover lost time in the later ones (not to mention that the last 2 Wily stages, the boss rush and the final boss, are very short)

You can break the block mazes with chain blast by pressing down and the fire button. I tried this myself and it worked

I tried an new layout of buttons and helped a lot,i put the slide on L2,rapid fire in R2 and weapon change on right analog and i got this trophie easier 😄

I did this once on my xbox one i know it was frustrating but now i gotta do it on my switch for the achievement i already attempted it but I failed. I dont think ill do light’s trials tho unless theres something worth it after getting all the achievements. Btw does the timer still count even when you’re not actually playing?

@@DapperDan22 yes, the timer continues while on menues. So if you are gonna stop save first and then reload before continuing.

You get "The Blue Flash" Trophy/Achievement for beating the whole game's story in an hour or less on Normal Mode or harder. You can technically do Superhero Mode, but anyone solely focused on the trophy probably wouldn't do that since it's the hardest difficulty, and thus, makes all the bosses harder.

I really love Mega Man since childhood, played and finished every installment so I really wanted to get the Platinum for this one. But, ONE HOUR is just insane… I thought I’m pretty good at this game but after seeing others make this speed run, I’d have to change my self proclaimed “level” to ‘fair’. It’s kinda annoying as I’m guessing that the absolute majority of players are somewhere along this line (of ‘fair’ level). Which means that this trophy isn’t feasible for the absolute majority of players. Trophies should be something everyone can achieve, given a certain amount of effort but, no matter how much effort I’d put into it, this is just too hard. Playing so fast isn’t something within my capabilities. Too bad…

Did you check my comments in the description? There are some ways to make this easier. With some practice and patience you should also be able to do it.

I’ll give it a go but I doubt I can average a stage in 5 minutes or less… Almost each level has a part where I can get stuck on for not being super precise with timing/execution. Btw, do the cut scenes and end credits count in the hour? If, during a level, I pause the game, does it also pauses the clock?

@@jfry3276 menues, stage select and loading screens keep the timer going. Pause probably does too (was "pause" the weapon select menu and stuff? Because if it was I'm sure it counts). The first stage is gonna take you over 5 minutes for sure, but from there you should strive to average 5 minutes. I didn't do it blazing fast and I still got like 15 minutes to spare. Going into the boss rush I still had 20 minutes left. Watch one stage at a time, and do that stage. You can save in between stages so there is no need to learn the whole game and do it in one go. The strats you see are a suggestion, if something looks too hard you can do something else as long as it not too much slower.

@@AndresLionheart Py pause menu I meant the one that takes you the game’s general setting (Controls, Audio, Load Game, Exit etc). On the PS4 console, it’s the touchpad button.

@@jfry3276 I couldn't find info about that with a quick search. You can always test it. Save, go to a stage, pause and leave it there for a few minutes. Exit out of the stage and go save it again. If only a few seconds have gone by then you can safely pause.
