This is another video that's reminiscent of what gaming with friends used to be like, pre-Internet. Silly conversation, passing the controller around, and getting tips while playing from those who were watching. In a way, when you beat a game in this kind of scenario-- you all beat it. Each person had a hand in it, whether it was defeating a boss that others struggled with or navigating a tricky platforming section... or seeing a pattern that others just didn't see. It was a cooperative effort, and everyone felt a sense of accomplishment afterwards. Can't wait to see what's next, guys!

+Peter Skerritt I don't even know anything about today's game industry, I am pretty much stuck on the NES, SNES, N64 and PSX, lol. ...although I have played a few somewhat newer games than that a few times. I liked "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater" for the PS2 and "The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess" for the GameCube a lot, that's what games should be like. I am also pretty interested in trying out "Far Cry 4" - there is something special about open-world games like that where you can run around and explore huge environments.

I was going through my NES collection, trying to log in a spreadsheet which ones I've beaten, and I realized that for many of them I really don't remember if I ever beat them or not. The reason it's hard to remember is because of how much we played them in groups as described in this post. I saw them beaten, I probably participated, but did I ever beat them by myself? My interpretation of the ending was always Megaman was upset that he had to kill more robots like him. Not so much that he lacked a purpose but that yet again he had to use violence to achieve a goal that he feels violence can't solve. However he knows if he does nothing more violence will ensue and it kind of tears him in 2 emotionally.

I'm sure this has been addressed but I can't not say it. Wily's Castle, purple boss, it can be beaten in one life by skipping some of the green barriers, particularly the center one . Use Item 1 to get over it and only shoot the barriers that you have to. Item 3 can be used after killing the right barrier to get back up. As a kid I always just did it twice and farmed Crash but I had to figure out how to do it with one life when I was going for a no death run. Also, use charged Heat on the dragon, it rips him apart.

fab1604 Any 30fps recording of NES games will cause this glitch. The games are in 60fps and so the recording is skipping every other frame

I think Mega Man 2 probably had the most satisfying ending of any NES game. Great music, unique animation, interesting graphics and an emotional payoff. Zelda, Contra, Bionic Commando, even Super Mario Bros 3 didn't have the impact of the ending to Mega Man 2.

I read somewhere (and apparently the Japanese versions explain this better,) that Rock, a.k.a. Megaman, was originally designed as a peaceful being, and was supposed to be Dr. Light's son. because of Dr. Wily's exploits, Dr. Light is FORCED to make him into a weapon of war, which was rather against his original purpose. he must fight, as a war machine, but really, he just wants to be a real boy, and like, play and explore nature and stuff. also, he does have a female counterpart, Roll, but she is more his sister. kinda deep man.

Well... About megaman changing colors.... For what i can understand, i think he doesn't just takes the enemies' weapon when he defeats someone, instead he assimilates the enemies (some kind of) robotic DNA, so he cant just bring out the weapon, instead he Becomes a different robot by using the "DNA" he captured from his enemy. And i think thats why he changes color....

My theory for why megaman changes colour is that he's literally ripping out a large part of the other robots including their weapons and control system and when he hooks it up inside himself he's sorta jury rigging it and it causes his armour to output the colour of the original robot instead(or something close)

The in universe thing is that he actually copies his enemies and sort of takes on their attributes in some way, and he ends up taking on their color scheme in the process. Its never really communicated well, and they pretty much abandoned it as anything more than a color swap.

Read a ton of comments, but I can’t understand why nobody mentioned that on the crash bomb boss, you can pause the game on and off to avoid getting hit. And it can easily be done in one try by only breaking the walls that are absolutely necessary.

You could also try using heatman on the dragon in wilys castle :D Thats what i have always done, just charge up the flame on the way to the final platform :)

On the Dr W ship if u use your Heat Weapon and hold B to charge it up all the way it only takes one hit to the windshield and that's it
