SparkMan was the first song from a video game which made me realize that Video Game Music is freaking awesome. The music and the visuals in that stage actually made me go, "WOOAH!" The stage was so dynamic with the moving lights around the boarder; and, the music was awesome. Now, it's almost 30 years later, and I'm still listening to VGM.
