The reason why the triangle is so smooth compared to the NES is because the triangle counted from 0 to 15, which means the waveform had to make large jumps to complete the wave, which would also make that dull, muffled sound and add a higher pitch that otherwise should not exist

Okay, I got it! The X360 primarily uses limitless software mixed PCM handled by its own cpu, Xenon.. But it also has a second dedicated audio IC called Xbox Media Audio (XMA) which supports up to 5.1 (Built for surround-sound) audio channels, with a sample depth of 16 and a sample rate of 48kHz (Higher than CD quality).

Something else that’s neat is that Xenon can apply extra effects to XMA before it outputs it! The 360 is technology from another world.

I extracted the game with a software called "wxPirs" : digiex.net/threads/wxpirs-extract-content-from-xbox-360-demos-video-dlc-and-arcade-game-containers.9464/ The music files are located in the "sounds" folder. Just get Foobar2000 along with the vgmstream component (links in description), it should detect all the files and you should get all the stems easily, have fun!

Naw, they couldn’t be emulated.. That triangle is WAY too smooth for the Famicom/NES!
