In this video, I will show you how to obtain the ever elusive and powerful Bass Cross in Mega Man Battle Network 5, both the GBA and DS versions. I also showcase the two secret cutscenes with Bass in Oran Area 3 and Nebula Area 4 you can activate when you have Bass Cross equipped. The game was supposed to be made for the DS lite, wich still had some minor audio limitations. But really, the music is catchy as fuck. Also, he was fighting Bass in the GBA version, in case you were confused.

Whenever you put in a older BN game into the GBA slot when you turn on Double Team DS, you can unlock some cool features like for BN 4, the virus battle theme from BN 4 will play when you get into a battle in the game now, and I believe you also unlock more messages in the BBS boards talking about how to make certain Program Advances. Other BN games will yield different effects. Look 'em up on GameFaqs for more info.

MMBN6 Bass, all you needed were MachineGun3 chips, and you made quick work of him. HockeyPuck in 4 accomplishes the same goal with 1 AreaGrab.

You can use the GBA slot feature as many times as you want as long as you have the GBA cart in the slot. (P.S. the GBA slot feature also works with BN 1 - 4 for some neat stuff.)

You can fight Bass in Nebula Area 6 as the Chaos Lord without cheats, and he'll appear in a stronger form as a random encounter in the same area afterwards which is how you get the Bass icon.

I use DeSmuME. Although, if you have a slow computer DeSmuME may lag like crazy on your system. If that applies to you, No$GBA is another decent choice (but it doesn't have a built-in recording feature like DeSmuME last time I checked).

I believe when loading the GBA game you have to provide your save file with it as well in the options somewhere.

I always enjoyed playing Double Team DS on an R4 (before you get your pitchforks out, I already had bought an official copy from GameChamp in the Bronx). My reason for the R4 preference is simple: Use a cheat to obtain either BassCross or SolCross Megaman while enabling Battle Network 4’s “Cyber-Battle” theme. There was something about blending those two things together that made me feel like a badass every time a virus battle started and you heard Lan say “Let’s bust some viruses” meanwhile the BN4 battle theme hyped up that moment even more.

I have always wanted the bass soul legit as well. I have mastered both Colonel & Protoman but wasn't able to obtain the soul in those games. Out of all the battle network games, the hardest ones were 5 Team Protoman/Colonel,4 Red Sun/ Blue Moon, and 3 Black and white in Japan, Blue and white the rest of the world.

I put my GBA Team Protoman (With the Bass icon) into the GBA cartridge, and then put the BN5 DS , started the DS game, but the game won't recognize the Team Protoman GBA cartridge, and so I don't get Basscross. Help please!

Make sure your cartridge isn't dirty or something. If you can't load up the game on your DS/DS Lite regularly (by selecting the "play GBA game" icon on the DS menu), then it's not being read anyway.

If it works for you anyway without a master code, then you probably don't need it. However I know a lot of times when it comes to Codebreaker, AR, Gameshark, etc. devices usually they want you to use a master code so the codes will work correctly. Perhaps master codes are meant for the devices you would buy at a store rather than for emulators. But whatever works for ya buddy.

On Double Team DS, yes it is. On GBA, there is no real legit way unless you live in Japan.

For the Nintendo DS version of this game you need a GBA version of megaman bn5 and have it in slot 2. So you can't do it on the DSi or the 3DS

I don't think so.. for one I wouldn't know how you could get a computer and your DS to connect, but I know I've heard of people who got their DS emulators to connect over WiFi. And I don't think you can transfer the cross over local network? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I heard on a KZbin vid that you can also get Bass Cross through getting all icons on one savefile in MBN5DT and then starting a newgame on the opposite version. Is this true?

Why is Sol Cross Rockman so calm? Doesn't Sol's personality prevent Netto from using his battle chips to help? Not to mention, doesn't Sol/Rockman's body break down after ~3 minutes of fighting? After all, his power is supposed to be so strong, he can't control it, and his body deteriorates from overwhelming power?

Yep, the Silver Cross is exclusive to Colonel, the Golden Cross is exclusive to Blues.
