Great video SR. My first Megaman game was Dr. Wily's Revenge for the Gameboy. I grew up playing the NES and SNES with my older brother. My cousin took turns playing Megaman X, X2, and X3. I can remember when I had sleepovers with my cousins, we would go to the video stores and rented different SNES games. Good times, good times! Rock on my dude.👍🏽

I did start with the NES, but after two of the consoles breaking down, the unplayable games are long gone. Can't remember the names beside Mario and Cortana, but I do remember what the cartridges look like. May have to look them up and find a way to replay it at some point. Plan on buying a replacement copy of the crash bandicoot collector edition games for the ps1.

Good sir, YOUR FAMILY IS AWESOME. I didn't have such an upbringing per se, my folks were kinda old and didn't know/didn't care about videogames beyond whatever I told'em. And that's growing up in the 80s. SO!! My first console was the Atari 5200 back in 1984 for my seventh birthday. Such annoying games... Pac-Man, Super Breakout, Centipede, Joust...yeah, Centipede can get T-Wrecked, I hate it. Not fond of the others, either. Later, after having exposure thanks to friends, I got my own Nes for my 12th birthday in 1989. Some of my favorites there over the years were Zelda 1, Super Mario 3 (World 8-4 makes me hate Super Mario 1), Final Fantasy 1, the even numbered Megaman games, TMNT II & III, etc. Got to experience the Genesis a year later with cousins who had it, and wouldn't experience it again until I got older. Also got a Gameboy via trade and expanded into the world of Gameboy games...some favorites there being TMNT: Fall of the Foot Clan, Batman, Mortal Kombat II, etc. Console and handheld experiences after these were all in my adult years. (And if you go by ol' skool parent logic, this would include my second & third forays into the Genesis at 18&19...)

I remember playing a lot of Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country, Star Fox, and The Legend of Zelda A Link To the Past. After that, I was introduced to Mega Man X and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Of course there were a bunch of other games, I enjoyed on the SNES, but I too also moved on to the PlayStation next. I purchased it along with a memory card, Final Fantasy VII and the official strategy guide. I remember all the time I spent saving money and calculating how much I would need including sales tax.

We're just about the same age, not surprised my early gaming years parallels yours quite a bit.

This is excellent. This will take us back on how we fell in love with the blue bomber. I would like to share how I met my favorite game character I turned 7 years old, long ago. My cousin introduced me to X, he and my other cousins were playing the snes. He told me if I wanted to try the game. I went to the room and my eyes met X on the highway stage. Gave me the controller and played a bit and BAM. Instantly I loved the character

Coming back after the 3ds verison pre-orders were offically killed off by Amazon : inafune was a liar & a con , even if you don't want to talk about the whole "it wasn't actually 4 million " he promised that with just 2.2 million he'd be able to produce a game that was a "Classic Japanese Side-scrolling action " game that "evolved and transformed " . For computers and a ps3, 360 and wii u version. He failed to deliver on that and instead of the team being transparent that the several other stretch goals woudk be hard to complete (several still incomplete ) as well as the revenue cut affecting development...to this day comcept have officially not said a word about the reasons why they weren't able to deliver the product as pitched to us , the backers , even after getting publishing help from deep silver and a cash infusion enough to get several langague subtitles ... Inafune has since gone to try to do the nft with "totally not Megaman X" characters and I'm not sure why the community defended him.

The indy megaman clones no matter how fun or good i just cant get into them. They just make me miss megaman. I usually dont even finish them. I miss megaman 😢😢
