Camilo Lopez Because the pause glitch is one of the most well-known glitches on the NES. It also requires zero skill (I was doing it at age 7). Some of the other crap he pulled off was WAY more impressive and applause worthy.

Hello coolkid i'm a big MM fan from Vietnam and i've just found a small trick in wily stage 2 which can help you to develop your run: when you fall in cutman's room, you use your magnet beam to skip that fight and fall down to the next room. At that point ALL obstacles will dissappear( even elec man) and you can easily get to the final boss of the stage. Hope you will enjoy it

without using glitches, I consistently beat the game in 33 minutes. Its very strange. Like no matter what I do, how many times I mess up, or even if i don't mess up at all, I keep getting 33 minutes. Ive gotten a game over and beaten the game with 33 minutes. Ive made it thorugh without dying once, and again in 33 minutes. Its maddening.

Anybody else annoyed that they removed the pause glitch from the Legacy Cillection? Fuck you, Capcom. This is why you peaked in the early 90's (okay, RE4 was really good, too). That was part of this game, and the Yellow Devil is easily the most difficult boss in the entire series without it.

psp785 Instant kill if you fell into the spikes, even after getting hit by an enemy, which caused temporary invincibility in every MM game since. The robot masters were the easiest to kill but the levels in MM1 were the hardest. I'll agree though, to an extent, MM3 was the second hardest. I never understood why they never did that gameplay again where you had to redo 4 of the robot masters's levels, which were altered in a way to make them more difficult and have to fight off the robot masters from the previous game. That was awesome.
