Soul Corruption was a really cool idea! Though this What If was certainly a bit more on the grim side. If there is one Battle Network What If scenario I would like you do is, What If Network Transmission Was Canon? Or, What If Zero.EXE became a recurrent character? As, the Battle Network version of Zero was very underused. Not to mention that in the anime, he dies. And he just doesnt appear at all in the manga!

So I'm in the middle of this video right now and personally I'm imagining my own variation of this What If where MegaMan is permanently stuck in Dark MegaMan form after the ShadeMan scenario, but through the power of him reawakening Hub Style or Bug Style, Mega is able to retrain most of his sanity and his sense of self, not completely normal as some of his Dark Soul leaks though but he is still mostly himself. The former form works due to utilizing the power of the Hub.BAT within him and his bond with Lan, and the latter due to the Dark License NaviCust exclusive to the form and its Bug related nature letting MegaMan have better control over the Dark Power. Either form could work in my opinion, though personally I think Bug Style would be more effective due to its nature and would be easier to explain MegaMan triggering since... Well Dark Chips are known to cause bugs after all, and guess what form is activated through being continuously corrupted by bugs? So yeah I think Bug Style on top of Dark MegaMan would be an interesting combination for a variation of this What If. Even though Hub Style is also really cool and would work even better from a narrative standpoint, I feel with Bug Style you could also do a lot more with it due to the aforementioned Dark License and the Bug aspects of the form. Either way, Hub now needs to remain in either of the forms or else risks becoming consumed by the darkness completely. But even then he's still tormented by the Darkness within him and he constantly fears losing himself and that greatly affects him for most of the What If. He is still Hub at his core, but he is becoming less and less like the MegaMan we know and love as a result of his transformation. Basically think of this as the Mega Man What If equivalent of The Sega Scourge's "What if Sonic never lost the Werehog form" scenario. It could be interesting to play with, especially since, while Hub now loses out on Double Souls as a Trade Off, he now has the powers of Dark MegaMan. Which would include the ability to utilize Battle Chips without needing Lan's assistance since DarkMega across the games and even other media could use Battle Chips without an operator. This would also likely extend to Dark Chips and other Dark Powers MegaMan has access to such as Dark Aura. Hell maybe in place of the Double Souls MegaMan gets the ability Dark MegaMan used in the Manga to absorb Navis like Bass and LaserMan, only instead of bonding with the friends he's made by connecting their souls. He instead just straight up absorbs the enemy Darkloids, maybe at first he just does so to gain power to protect Lan (at least that's what he keeps telling himself) but at some point he begins to take some uncharacteristically sadistic pleasure in it as vengeance for them turning him into this monster, with Lan even begging MegaMan to stop at some point. Maybe there's potential for MegaMan and Bass to finally have an understanding of each other with MegaMan becoming considered too dangerous and unstable, so the Officials betray him and ProtoMan attempts to delete him, but for a moment hesitates and MegaMan uses this to escape. MegaMan then feels like he has been abandoned by everyone, with Lan and his own family being the only people who still believe in him but Hub doesn't even know that, and becomes a wandering Navi similar to Bass. Meanwhile Lan forces himself to be stuck with a NormalNavi since he doesn't want a new Navi to replace MegaMan and never gives up on his brother. There is... A lot that could be done with this across BN4, BN5, and possibly even BN6. And honestly... I should just write my own take on it at this point with the amount of ideas I'm rambling out at this point when I'm done watching both parts of your videos.

So what do I think.... I think we're missing an element. The reason why Dark Mega have not destroy it. For me I change it to being Lan brother is still there. Remember Lan Brother maybe "Die" thank to alpha but that still not a "Navi" that is still Half-Human-Navi. Rule for Half-Human-Navi is still unknown.

Now that is interesting. The X bosses are all interesting characters, but Magma Dragoon is definitely the most fleshed out of the regular Maverick bosses. I could do some interesting things with that I’ll put it on the list
