Wheel Gator over Manga Centipede and Flame Stag? WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR!!! X2’s OST is like a wine it gets better with time. Judging from the list I think Power Guy might’ve not grooved with the distortion/backing track guitar used in X2 over X1 I think that’s why he ending up being hard on it.

2:43:13, 3:22:33(the remix 3:24:07) and especially 4:41:55 are by far the best boss themes and permanent EEEE tier in my opinion.

@LavaCreeperPeople X6 has great songs, but X4 has not one song that sucks, the consistency of quality is what puts it over. Saying that as someone that enjoys X6

We agree on some tracks like Spark Mandrill but we are really disagreeing on a few tracks. Sigma 3 from X1 is A tier for me...Flame Stag is an easy EEEEE tier for me....but this was still amusing to watch!!

Every time I replay X5, I mute the tv when I get to duff mcwhalen and turn on his beta theme, it really fits the level

They seriously added that in to pay homage since X5 was meant to be the finale of the series

In my opinion X4 has the best ost, because every single song is a blast to listen to. Only Snow Base falls a little short, but just because its too calm. But it is fitting and still a wonderful track. ❤

It is forbidden to skip Dr Cain’s theme from X3, for it is just perfect.

Interesting thing I found out. You said X4 is your favorite soundtrack in the X series but it felt like X5 was outdoing it in your tier ranking So I decided to calculate an average tier ranking from your rankings in each game, where a D tier counts as 1 point and EEE tier counts as 5 points. Turns out X4's average ranking from you was 3.64 so high B tier. And X5's average ranking was 3.64! An exact tie! To be fair I didn't take into account the order within tiers (eg: a high B tier and a low B tier song are both worth 3 points) Still, very interesting your overall opinion on those 2 soundtracks turned out to be roughly a tie. I'm curious to try doing this averaging method for your overall opinion on the other X games soundtracks

Wow that's super interesting! both X4 and X5's soundtrack live rent free in my head, so it's cool that they're tied even though I talk about X4 more. Thank you for crunching the numbers! It's very cool to think about

X5 has my favorite soundtrack in the X series, can't ever sleep on X5. It goes so hard it should be illegal! But yeah I was surprised both ended up averaging to a mid B tier, I thought they'd be higher based on your rankings but I think it might have to do with the fact any song placed in a certain tier was treated by my calculations like it was placed at the bottom of that tier. So that probably pulled that the overall rating by a chunk. Maybe I'll try revisiting this and come up with a more precise way to do it. Taking into account how high in a tier you place a song.
