Now here's an interesting concept that's poorly executed. Basically, you'll come across these totem poles in the stage. Coming into contact with them transports you to a random area in which you must reach the end and destroy a totem to get out. Repeat this 3 more times throughout each stage. Now, because there are, like, 8 area you can go to, you'll have to revisit the stage, sometimes more than once, if you want to get everything, especially the armor part. __

This stage can be annoying with how narrow it is, having the most tentacle monsters, and having to reenter multiple times in order to see all eight "exhibits". But at least it isn't trash compactors and donut snake things. Here are the exhibits, and where they show up randomly. *Totem poles 1 and 2:* Downward Aquarium Upward Aquarium Egyptian without bottomless pits Egyptian with bottomless pits (only section where having steel blocks is better than rain due to segments where you have to do air dashes) *Totem poles 3 and 4:* Upward Planetarium (Heart Tank is here) Downward Planetarium Dinosaur without bottomless pits (Blade Armor piece here) Dinosaur with bottomless pits (Alternative path is here, best path to fight the Zero Virus) Rainy Turtloid's rain is better than Metal Shark Player's steel blocks (sans that one Egyptian section). With that said, take out this stage before entering the latter two. Remember, once a hazard is installed into a stage, you cannot remove both of them. It's back and forth between one or the other for the rest of the game. This, of course is the boss that has Zero's worst tech in this game. So bad that the Mega Man Home Page (runned by a moron) recommends you don't kill Scaravich at all. Well, you better hope you ALWAYS get the dinosaur exhibit with the bottomless pits then if you come here, otherwise you are looking at losing all your lives on purpose, and we all know how much "fun" that is, especially in this game! Due to the number of tentacle monsters in this stage, this is the best place to grind for nightmare souls. Remember, in order for the tentacle monsters to replenish their souls, you need to reenter the stage that causes a hazard here (Shark or Turtloid), then reenter Scaravich.

I never imagined how stupid Sega was for NOT creating a Storm Eagle or a Magma Dragoon before Capcom did, instead making Eggman the boss of almost every zone! Sonic and Tails should be fighting the (mostly) animaloid mavericks, while X and Zero should be fighting a "Tengu Man X", and a "Gemini Man X" if you know what I mean.

True. The stage is very narrow, and it has the most tentacle monsters too. Of course, this also makes it the best stage to collect nightmare souls.

hey, can you explain the armors for me in this game bro? ive been reading a bit up on them and its confusing and not much info out there. i understand there are parts to equip, like the jumper and the quick charge etc. but i need to know what armor i should go after. and does each armor part go into effect immediately like X1-X4? of do you need the entire set to use it like X5? is there more than one armor set? and what does each set do? im starting X6 right now, and i need to know how to upgrade my armor as i go through it...im pissed i lost my hover ability ;(

1 - yes you need all armor parts to it work 2- yes it have 2 different armors (Blade armor and Shadow armor) 3-go blade armor first (Btw you will need it first to get shadow) 4-SHADOW ARMOR - shots turn shurikens and you can grip the in roof 5-BLADE ARMOR - you can freeze megaman in the air holding the dash button while at air and then you dash for what side your directional are turned i know you commented this 1 year ago but i like help the others

@@zeeeerow - Actually, it's possible to get all the Shadow Armor parts (that one should be called the Blade Armor) before the Blade Armor (should have been called the Speed Armor). *Rainy Turtloid:* First, don't play this game on the easiest setting, since you need enemies that only appear on normal or higher. This one's tough, but lure one of those bat enemies towards the first set of spikes, then use the *dash across spikes while briefly invincible* after taking damage trick to cross the first spikes, then quickly jump into those bat enemies before they move out of range, then quickly dash across the second set of spikes while briefly invincible. *Blizzard Wolfang:* Fight the Zero Virus first to unlock Zero. Use Zero's double jump to get to the part. *Blaze Heatnix:* Zero's double jump again. Just make sure you do NOT enter Metal Shark Player's stage first, unless you want to use his gear to destroy the MANY steel blocks blocking the alternative path, which in that case, pray that you have enough weapon energy to destroy them. *Metal Shark Player:* You'll need X for this one. Kill Blizzard Wolfang, and acquire one of these parts at least: Jumper, Speedster, and Hyper Dash with enough nightmare souls to equip one of them. Do not equip the Ultimate Buster part since normal Ice Burst shots are required. Fire an Ice Burst block at the edge of the platform, then dash jump from the block across the giant bottomless pit with one or more of the parts I have listed, and you should be able to make it across.

Plus I consider that alternative path the best one to fight the Zero Virus in even if you have to enter this stage multiple times until you get the dinosaur "exhibit" with bottomless pits. Rainy Turtloid's stage is tougher than Scaravich (let alone the alternative path) even with the *take damage from an enemy, then quickly dash across the spikes while briefly invincible* trick. Speaking of Turtloid, he, Commander Yammark and Blizzard Wolfang are key stages early on, and the last thing you need are getting attacked by Shield Sheldon's viruses (Wolfang and Turtloid), and weaving your way through Infinity Mijinion's darkness (Yammark and Turtloid). If you use the cheat code for X's Ultimate Armor, you can use it to access the alternative path in Commander Yammark's stage to fight the Zero Virus, but make sure you don't enter Turtloid and Mijinion before Yammark. Blaze Heatnix's alternative path early on requires, a) the Blade Armor, or b) the steel blocks from Metal Shark Player, his weapon, and enough weapon energy to destroy the steel blocks blocking the path. Translation: Not worth it to fight the Zero Virus. Blizzard Wolfang's alternative path requires the fireballs from Blaze Heatnix to gain access to. F*** that! And Metal Shark Player requires the Ice Burst (from Wolfang), plus any combination of the Hyper Dash, Jumper, and Speedster parts in order to jump over the giant bottomless pit on the alternative path. Not worth it.

It's in the dinosaur "exhibit" without the bottomless pits, but it appears randomly only in the third and fourth totem poles alongside the dinosaur exhibit with the bottomless pits (aka the alternative path teleporter), and the two planetarium exhibits. You obviously have to play this stage multiple times in order to see all eight "exhibits".
