I think you need to look into getting a 3rd pump installed with tilt on the cimaf I have 323 set up with tilt and 3rd pump and it runs constant flow we can track and mulch at same time ...

Wow, that’s a pretty awesome machine. Is that what the Mini & Munchie want to be when they grow up?🤣 You know Gavin, I have to say, you do an excellent job with Mini & Munchie, heaps better on the smaller stuff than this beast. Where it shines is on the bigger stuff. The chap operating it seems to really know what he’s doing. Always good to see other machines & operators who are skilled. Loved both videos Gavin, Thanks to the operators & company for allowing us to watch them work. Take care & cheers🐨🦘🥰

That excav head really would benefit from a dedicated power pack it would speed up larger diameter trees. Excav mounted are a speclised unit for certain areas, they are not as efficient as a large track mounted mulcher with say an 8’ wide head.

Terry from Christchurch New Zealand love too see this kind of work. I'm thinking the large purpose built unit's are mor productive. Excavator mounted heads seem clumsy and slow but still have there reaching advantage

Now that they are getting the air above the impoundment cleared, comes the root of the problem. Big diggers and the bulldozers to the rescue.

I saw video a while back on KZbin, I believe it was the same excavator model and large mulching head, but it had a comma but I think was called a power pack on the back of the excavator, which just powers ahead, so the excavator can have full power all the time. I think, I’m no expert

When using the mulching then one has to go back n pull out the roots with a bull dozer?

I was wondering why when you do this same kind of job why you don't just go to the bottom and knock the trees over then mulch them up ?

all of them have the same problem they are all fixed in one position it needs to be able to pivot on the arm 90* like on yours it is stuck on a fixed mount cant pivot or rotate.

@wynona my feelings exactly. An impressive big machine but this operator hasn't developed the skills Gavin possesses when it comes fluid and purposeful movement of the equipment.

I know he might not be to graceful. YET.. and appears to be a tad rough on the head. I can say this !! After your in a excavator 10-12 hours A day , 6 Days a week ! Your neatness goes away. 👍👍

Dude shouldnt do it that way.. using the thumb rocker is actually not allowing the fluid to go thru the 2 way spool.. its going thru a 1 way because the way a Thumb works and a mulcher is way different. I have a 330 Nex Gen, a 323 and a 313.. and our operator burnt out the thumb spool by doing exactly what this guy said he is doin.. its not hard to dis-engage the mulcher, climb the tree and turn it back on.. He is feeding fluid thru a seperate spool that is meant to only be used for Thumb Pressure.. not a 3200 psi mulcher/hammer spool.
