Just listened to the podcast from Spieleclub and checked youtube for this thing. The first entry I watched was from weird retro video games but I felt like it didn't give enough insight. Not only did you cover that and showed the console - the interior, exterior and what games look like on it, you also did it in a great way. The music fits excellently and the video cutting was well done!

Thank you so much for creating an emulator for one of the rarest consoles ever! Both obscure and really expensive. Now it’s preserved and everyone can take a look at it. Do you have any other obscure console in mind to emulate?

I have one of these machines with the 4 games. I would love to see more from you guys!

Hey, did you guys finish making the schematics for this game system? I want to try building this myself!

At 0:50 it looks like the LEDs are attached to the rotor, but at 1:30 it looks like the LEDs are fixed on the left of the screen. Can someone clarify? (Thanks for the great video, btw!)

That's just the reflection in the mirror. The LEDs are indeed affixed to the left. It wasn't possible to make a spinning rotor with attached LEDs back then.

I want to make one of these! Getting a real one is nearly impossible, and with 3D printers people could even print the case and all the plastic parts now!

It is likely possible to build a similar display from an Arduino with LED strip and a kind of spinning disco globe or spinning (triangular?) prism. (Perhaps laser show people know more suitable mechanisms.) I guess that ARGB may be too slow because it has its own internal PWM refresh rate (or it works when only using 100% and 0% brightness), so it may need normal RGB strips with possibly an additional buffer IC. Someone should try this out.

I could maybe start programming games for this [obscure] system...
