Here are some of my notes (and more) 1. Learn to expose masterfully - Gordon Willis 2. Use Natural light intelligently - Néstor Almendros 3. Use color with intention, it’s an important tool - Vittorio Storaro 4. Always leave room for experiments - Christopher Doyle 5. Learn to use Chinese lanterns - Robert Yeoman 6. Learn to light by Eye - Sven Nykvist 7. It’s never too late to learn Cinematography - Rhaul Coutard (Bonus) 8. Use lenses to according to what the story demands. 9. Always remember that every shot needs to say something 10. Don’t shoot coverage, use light, composition and movement to interpret the story - Bob Primes 11.
