Core difference is that Sasha's jokes often end up being at the expense of the people pranked, whereas Bad Trip didn't feel like it was punching down.

I think that the story of bad trip was supposed to be simple, but I liked that the movie didn’t need more to carry momentum of the pranks. It was at least an hour and a half of solid pranks and reactions and i enjoyed it for what it was.

I'm honestly annoyed on the "Bad Trip" take. A big hook of the joke was they're acting out a terribly cliche road trip buddy comedy. Like, when the girl walked into the smoothie place Eric starred at her like the "That's the girl of my dreams" moment but he's doing that while strangers are standing in front of him trying to order. It's not just that the story was bad but it was really on the nose with overused generic story beats that are being used as a vehicle to harass people in public. I think the only thing that bothered me is none of the reactions were as good as reactions he gets on his Adult Swim show.

I am a data analyst and build algorithms that do shit like automatically tag videos etc. (not exactly this, but it is the same almost everything behind it) You can think of it analogous to how a spam filter works - something said some word or phrase or something enough times and a big combination of different things you said lead to the algorithm thinking you *likely* are spam, or misinforming people, and it will tag it as such. Overall accuracy is only one measure of the algorithm's performance. There is also precision and sensitivity (aka recall). Precision is here would be what % of the flagged videos are actually misinforming people. Recall would be what % of the misinforming videos were successfully flagged. There is of course a trade-off between precision and recall. More precise model => less sensitive. More sensitive => less precise. KZbin is probably prioritizing recall, and is interested in flagging as many videos containing misinformation as possible, so it will flag based on almost anything. The trade off is again lower precision, so some of the videos that are not really misinforming anyone (such as yours) will also get flagged.

Something you guys you said a million years ago was that your stunts were things that shouldn't upset people and the comedy comes from the people that do react. I felt like the Eric Andre stunts were all on people that were all well meaning people trying to help and it was kind of a bummer. Some stuff was definitely funny but I also think Borat did that a lot better that the stunts were on people that set themselves up or they didn't even know they were being messed with.
