I would say that FF4, FF6, FF7, and FF9 were the good ones. FF10 and FF13 being decent. (FF13 slightly better due to the fact that the voice acting, music and graphical design of FF10) FF15's combat is really good. It's quite good like KH2.

Fist Wizard it aint any more linear or boring than 7. I admit i haven't played 4 in a decade so maybe i'm just blinded by nostalgia, but i played 7 very recently and after you leave midgar in that game, the pacing becomes nonexistent. 10 is fucking stupid, but i have to admit i only put 12 on the list of bad ones because i haven't played much of it, though what i played wasn't very good.

Except its much more linear than 7, 7 at least has side quests and areas and opens up after a certain point. 4 is a literal railroad through the entire game, and in most versions you can't even decide who is in your party. It doesn't help that every party member has the personality of cardboard, especially Cecil and Rosa.

1:06:16 That's exactly why Skyrim or Oblivion are not as good as Morrowind, to me. The world is just not that interesting. Skyrim's world felt like one of many brands of generic fantasy. Same for Oblivion, although, there is an obvious LOTR influence there. Most blatantly with the Ayleid architecture (Rivendell) and Martin Spetim's story (Aragorn).
