Lawrence Kasdan is at least co-writing the Han Solo movie (with his son) and he's written the character since Empire Strikes Back. I know he's technically Lucas' creation, like Derrick said, but I think Kasdan's involvement has to count for something. Otherwise, I'd 100% agree with Derrick that no one should touch it.

I don't know, I feel like everyone is saying 'Death Stranding wrong'. People say it as if death is getting stranded, as in being deserted or left behind. That makes no fucking sense, I don't get why people say it like that. To me it's more like stranding as in the act of creating strands. HOLY FUCK! I remember The Ruins. That movie freaked me out a lot until the ending which made me do the Derrick, "FUCK THIS MOVIE!"

I heard that movie went through so many iterations and was re-edited/shot at least once. After watching the movie it seemed like it may have started as a character-driven thing about everyone getting over something shitty/horrible in their past (that part seemed to be kept in for Will Smith and Cholo-Fuego). I think the horrible part of Harley's past was supposed to be the Joker. From what little we see, he's a legitimately horrible boyfriend (pimping her out, bailing when the car crashes, etc.). We even see her deepest desire is a normal relationship with him, implying she's more in love with this idea of a different version of him. The studio probably got scared that the director's version of the Joker was too evil. So they hacked most of the focus on Harley's background. I think they believed the abusive asshole version Joker would alienate too many casual fans and they wouldn't be able to sell Jared Leto Joker t-shirts for the next 4 years. All this being said: Not a fanboy, the movie was a piece of shit, I'm not defending anything, I just like to overanalyze things.

Listening to Garrett talk about MGSV, saying it's his favourite mgs and discussing upcoming konami garbage, considering he just went to a konami event, like why? Don't Breathe was so-so for me. Very well filmed, very tense, poor writing, not that memorable, but not bad. It's not scary, just stressful. I didn't feel as invested because all the characters were shitty people so you can only care so much if they die or not. All and all, I am glad I saw in the theater because it lends itself well to the big screen as focus is on atmosphere and filming rather than story.
