MEGABASS and SHIMANO flipping rods

I am hoping that a Shimano Zodias and Megabass Levante will be good replacements for my Shimano Cumara that I broke last season. Losing that rod broke my heart, but these are beautiful rods! Good video I want the perfect pitch but hate ordering online and can’t find near me in stores. I have the tour versatile and it is amazing so much sensitivity especially with slack in the line. Just picked up 7’5 h zodias can’t wait to test the zodias out see a lot of people rave about them

Found this video by looking up MB vs Zodias....I am getting ready to switch all my rods over to either the MB Levante rods or the Zodias rods. In your opinion, if you were to use only one set of rods, what line would you choose? Thanks for the input.

After fishing with them, for me it's Zodias. Totally personal. But, weight is a big factor for me. And I notice things like the diameter of the grip, butt length, balance. Birth are equally sensitive, but the weight and overall control with the Zodias does it for me. Plus it's GORGEOUS!!😍😍

Have been eyeing the zodias since its announcement bit just haven't pulled the trigger. Did grab a levante for jerkbaits however and love it. Any experience with exprides, curious how the zodias stands up to them?

I was going to pair a Zodias rod with an SLX DC for an all around beginner small pond bass combo Texas, topwater, ned. So many choices it's hard to know what to get any insight would be helpful.

If a rod fishes a ned well, it will fish a Texas rig badly. You will bend out the hook on a ned head. A med 7' might do it... idk

I don't know... but it's a heavier rod in my lineup. I have a carrot stix black XHeavy and that weighs equal to my finesse rod.... I'm critical on weights 🤷🏾‍♂️

I've got two 6'8 medium extra fast jig and worm Compre's from that era. I use them for jerkbait rods. The rebound of the blank is perfect for jerkbait fishing. I never got a chance to get my hands on a Cumara though, but given the Compre is really good for the money, the Cumara's must've been amazing.

I too love those compre! Are yours brown with cork handles? Mine is brown and I use it for cranking. It's awesome!

@@WAEofFishing nope, they're the dark green with eva handles and the little worm and jig silver icon on the butt of the rod. Same styling as the first gen Cumara.

I have one, all that but black like my Cumara. Mine is Worm and Jig, but too soft for that IMO.

@@WAEofFishing actually I lied, mines the CSCX68MB. It's a Clarus. Same era as the Cumara and Compre though. I got them for jigs, but I didn't like them for that, so I tried them as jerkbait rods, the tip recovery makes working a jerkbait nice and smooth so that's what I use them for. I got them on sale for 50 bucks each a few years ago as a clearance deal.

Throw some 50lb braid on that Perfect pitch and supposed it’s a fantastic frog rod. I have a Megabass P5 Destroyer and their rods are ridiculously well balanced
