a tip for everyone who owns a megaboom 3 and feels the lack a little bass and presence: Switch from stereo sound to mono in your phone settings and you will see the megaboom 3 really coming to life specially in outdoor environments. i dont know why the manufacturer made them stereo because it doesnt make a lot of sense since its ideal that you have a pair of speakers apart from each other to have a full stereo imaging. but its safe to say that mono gives it an actually fair bump in quality in my opinion

I tried to tweak it between stereo and mono with my Galaxy Note10+, it seems even a little worse in mono mode though. Very subtle difference but mono does make the sound dull/muffled a tiny bit.

What he is saying is go to your phones system settings go to about phone tap on build number 7 times than go back to additional settings or something like that and click on developer mode than in developer mode scroll down until you see networking and in networking the second last one will be Bluetooth audio channel mode than if you tap on that than you'll be able to change your phones sound output to mono for Bluetooth audio. Your mic had better fidelity than the Megaboom demo playback, but it could be due to positioning. How about using two of them for stereo? When will UE come out with their updated app? What about connectivity as compared with BT speakers in it's class? Did the MB3 lose the ability to link via 3.5mm cable? Is there still a tripod/suspension mount on the MB3?

I use this in stereo with the hyperboom and it worked pretty darn good not much skipping like JBL linked speakers. Idk seems like UE slowing down on everything. MB3 has no tripod mount it looks like it does but it'd not one. and no Aux port

I had the UE Boom 1 for years. Its so beat up now, the rubber have worn out but it is still working like its brand new. The quality of the sound is amazing. But I have to buy this Ue Boom 3 now.. btw, are you Filipino bro?

I had this speaker and lost it on the bus maybe....🤔. This takes a lick and keeps on ticking. DOESNT Boom like i would have wanted. Base is good not Booming. Volume gets loud but not loud enough like on a beach. Think 2 Mega Boom 3s would help that or U.E. Hyperboom better yet. Im in urban area NYC and many times someone would come buy with party box or boom box jbl or some thing with extreme highs and would put my speaker to shame like a car system. It burns battery on phone rather fast.The battery life on speaker is good but after continuous play day by day it weakens takes longer to charge. Its convenient not cumbersome hold it in hand or cradle it like a football. Their Apps ok and EQ is helpful definetely enhances sound(bass). Overall its 4 stars maybe 4.1/4 expected more boom from it though thats important in Brooklyn.

thank you for that review bud helpful for future viewers. I agree there is no bass really in this speaker and I also expected a lot more from it bass wise. The Hyperboom is a great speaker I would love to put it vs JBL boombox and see how it holds up in my blindfold sound test videos.

Can u please compare to the JBL? One thing I don't like with the UE Boom and Megaboom 8s how bass sounds on them, it sounds artificial and processed with some distortion almost like Waves MaxxBass (check that out). I think it's funny that they say there's no artificial processing on their website because if you listen to anything with big kick drums or 808s it sounds like they're being run through a tube saturation effect. Not clean.. It's hard to describe to some people especially if they aren't use to more transparent sounding stereos. It really only becomes clear when you hear it side by side with the original track and other speakers that don't do that. The thing that blows my mind is that the Megaboom 1 didn't do this phenomenon, and in my opinion sounds better for it.

Way too expensive for what it is, bass is seriously lacking, highs are recessed when listening front on (which is the way you should listen to it to get that stereo imaging). Really there's less expensive speakers that sound way better

I have left hundreds of positive reviews for products and services on Amazon, eBay, Google, Trip adviser, trust pilot etc etc!!!Get your facts straight before accusing of only leaving negative reviews. I go out of my way to congratulate and recommend quality products and services. If so many people having issues it should be addressed and replaced. My Honda has been recalled after 7yrs for minor issue. Jbl should sort this out. But oh no. You think its ok that products don't last their time and end up in landfill. The speaker got used once a week on a shelf for 13months and now completely useless, I expect more.

Megaboom 3 is garbage, they have a well known battery charging issue. Had mine 1 year. After that it would not charge or reset using every trick in the book. I will never purchase a UE product again.
