The Castle below the Eyrie is called the Gates of the Moon, it is located at the base of the Giant's Lance (the mountain the Eyrie is on) and is currently ruled by a lesser branch of house Royce.

The Castle is the Gates of the Moon, it's the winter home of the Arryns and is described as a much bigger and more useful castle than the eyrie, it appears in the newest Alayne chapter Geoff.

They also have the "bloody gate" which is said to have been impregnable, and the vale is quite big; big enough to support the humans within. The only reason they cared about the rest of westeros was because of the targs and their dragons, which could still wreck shit.
