MegaDance HD off-ride Selva Magica, Mexico Mágica México

This is an original HUSS Megadance ride before it was changed to the more popular versions that are found at fairs and carnivals the world over. Later versions were changed with seats tilting up and down as the ride spun around and then having the seats rotate on separate arms as the entire ride spun around. The final version HUSS developed was called a Flic-Flac and is considered by many to be the most intense flat ride ever made.

It was first located in Mexico City as one of the new 3 attractions some years ago (Along Top Spin, Condor and Mega Dance) at La Feria de Chapultepec, replacing a HUSS Enterprise and the Tornado Roller Coaster (Jet star II); it also required to re-locate the Crazy Mouse Spinning Roller Coaster.

Looks like the hub ring is still working (You can see it lower one side as the main arm lifting one side and it spin very slow) but the hub isn't spun fast enough to swing the main arms up and down to resist the centripetal force from the spin of main arms. So, the up and down effect doesn't occur.

Suansanook ชมรมคนรักสวนสนุก compared to the "Devil Rock" ride, they use the same item, a hub, to provide polyp ride-like movement for the arm/gondolas

Unlike the Polyp ride, HUSS hub ring providing the additional force (Up and down) to the swinging arm that mounted freely on the end of the angled arm than Directly fix to the gondolas and swing them and down. Thus the Hub Ring can create a higher swing than the fix to swing mechanism type and the high of swing relies on how strong of the additional force that Hub ring and angled arm can provide. If its spins very fast, It provides a strong Up and down momentum to resist the centripetal force, The gondola can swing up and down. On the other hand, If it spins too slow, The Centripetal force is stronger than Up and Down momentum, Gondola won't swing up and down and just swing outward by centripetal force.

It worked as it should while located at Mexico City, the seats went up and down, then the ride was moved to Guadalajara and it didn't worked it as it should.

They must be utilizing a real tame ride program. The arms should be going up and down much faster creating a swinging and dropping sensation.

This must be the one from Ludewigt (Oldenburg) - 1st owner

+quicky72 This isn`t the one from "Ludewigt". Ludewigt rebuilt his "megadance" in 1993 and it becomes a "Flic Flac" after this rebuilt. Later he sold the "Flic Flac" to "Heitmann-Schneider" from Munster. The last known Owner is "Alexander Goetzke" from Munich, who bought the Flic Flac from the closed "Spreepark" in Berlin. Goetzke scraped the Flic Flac, and used a lot of parts on his ride "Rocket"
