The most complete and well rounded Megadeth album, the additions of Menza and Freidman were massive and the song writing standard is really high, the solos technical and emotive, it changes tempo well and feels like a constructed album as opposed to a collection of songs. One of the great metal albums. For me, its up there with Puppets & Reign in Blood. Without nostalgia blinders on, I can easily see why someone would have a far more positive reaction to this than say "so far, so good, so what". PS. Dawn patrol was one of the first things I learned to play on the bass :)
