If your new to metal or megadeth buy this shit you won't regret it. Top 3 metal albums of the 80's I agree pantera and sepultura right in there. I used to not like Megadeth (Dave's vocals) but one day i decided to listen to them and had no problem and damn it im glad i did. I went out and bought this album (remastered unfortunately) and have listened to it to death. This riff on this song is one of my favorites ever. I still like Metallica more but DAMN IT Megadeth kicks ass!

I just did a comparison going back and forth between the new version and this version piece by piece and this is noticeably better. The sound is much more robust and sharp. The little bass solo by Ellefson at 1:36 is 10X better here.

The easiest ways to tell that this is the original version are the vocals and the power of the bass lick at 1:36. The remastered vocals are garbage and that short lick was totally killed on the 2004 version.

i read the linear notes to the remastered version and it says dave mustaine himself remixed all of the megadeth records to make them sound different. I think most of the albums sounded fine. maybe the guitars are too quiet on countdown to extinction though.
