INFORMATION ABOUT THIS: This was done for a movie back in the 80's called "Dudes" and it was one of the very last things recorded with both gar and poland. The recording doesn't compare to the sound on KIMB because this was all done in one take on a VERY BASIC recording. Thanks for the video. And R.I.P Gar.

as others said this is Gar and Poland and the tone is similar to SFSGSW sound cause its from the same sessions in 1987 and Paul Lani produced as the credit notes on Dudes soundtrack. Mustaine told on his book, both Gar and Poland were fired while SFSGSW album still was on the recording procedure in 1987. there is also somewhere in youtube a concert from 1987 playing Mary Jane with the original Megadeth line up... this version from Dudes soundtrack didnt make it on Hidden Treasures EP due to copyrights, that;s why after early 90s all the repressing versions of Killing Is My Bussiness album lacked the song These Boots...

Guys both are good but this version as at the correct pitch unlike the 1985 version due to the tape machines not being calibrated correctly on the first 2 albums meaning guitars bass and vocals were actually recorded at standard pitch or tuning not half step down hint here pay attention to the recording process instead of blowing half the recording budget on drugs

@@InfiniteBeak I think it sounds somewhat better this version sounds similar to the original mix of so far so good so what. I think Paul Lani mixed this version before he got fired. I wish Mustain had remixed this version instead of rerecording everything except gars drums for killing is my business for the ultimate kill re-release which had leads from keiko even though he was not credited as it was detuned a whole step as Mustain chose to sing it with Lee hazelwoods original lyrics instead of his altered lyrics which I prefer.

@@aarontheone7193 the original killing is my business version was actaully supposed to be recorded in standard tune and the guitars were actaully tuned to standard tune but due to a lack of a proper budget the tape machines were not calibrated correctly to the guitar tuners. Kind of like the situation with the classic ozzy Osborne randy Rhodes track or over the mountain from diary of a madman. Which randy mentioned before he was killed. As for the first 2 Megadeth albums the problem I mentioned persisted for both killing is my business and piece sells but who's buying. Of course nowadays the issue could be solved by just raising the pitch a quarter to a half step for the guitars bass and vocals. For those albums to the actaul pitch it was at when those albums were recorded. This version is at the correct tuning and pitch. That's why for many years when these songs were performed live they were played in standard tune and the pitch was a quarter to half a step higher. Before 2012 now all megadeth songs are performed and played at a whole step below standard tuning. Because Mustain can't sing them anymore in their original tunings. Hope this answers your question more clearly.
