Hi Vlad. The Tomb of Atreus is beautifully built with a doorway big enough for giants to use. I wonder.....maybe not a tomb at all. Those who built these tombs and pyramids expected them to last forever as a testament to their existence in history. Just like us, they did not want to be forgotten. THANKS for sharing their history with us! Your videos help keep their memories alive.

Interesting. The stones (at 4:46 minutes) are very similar to the concrete type that was used in the area near the Bosnian pyramid.

Bosnian pyramidal hills are very ancient (at least the end of the stone and the beginning of the copper age) ... maybe much more ancient ... It is strange that no one from the local population knew that some of the hills were laid out in rows of gigantic slabs of rubble and mortar.... Not in Greek time, not in Romn time and before them
@josvanvoorden39156 жыл бұрын
The reason that he was not known as a pyramid in Roman and Greek times is possibly due to the fact that in those times he was no longer recognizable as a pyramid. Some researchers assume an age of 24,000 BC. Many researchers agree that a kind of concrete was used in the Bosnian pyramid. The stone used in your megalithic structures of the Mycenaeans reminded me of it. The stone seemed to me made of a kind of concrete. I realize that different types of concrete have been used over the centuries. Old techniques can sometimes survive for a long time or be rediscovered.
@joenobody59134 жыл бұрын
@@josvanvoorden3915 Many researchers have a vested interest in keeping the whole Bosnian "pyramid" idea alive. Literally any researcher with half a brain can immediately see that they're not man made pyramids. There's also no slabs of concrete or mortar, those are crude lines etched in, it's a RIDICULOUS attempt to desperately try to convince rubes like yourself. There's a handful of "tunnels" carved out with scratches on the wall. Maybe try and use just a little skepticism.
@josvanvoorden39154 жыл бұрын
@@joenobody5913 skepticism is always good in historical research. But that also applies to the official stories. And I have seen many official studies and positions in historical research in recent years that are also totally unbelievable.
@joenobody59134 жыл бұрын
@@josvanvoorden3915 Sure, and that has fuck all to do with anything. That being said, I'm willing to bet you haven't seen "many" and I'd LOVE to know what they were and how exactly you equated them to "unbelievable". (And PLEASE spare me the ad nauseum "they say they cut these blocks with this!") I'd be interested to see what you read, if any, outside of Egypt. But I digress, it has literally NOTHING to do with the Bosnian hills. The simple fact you think they're pyramids pretty much immediately disqualifies you from judging ANY research paper. Should be a litmus test quite frankly.

Tholos cultures far predates the Mycenaeans i think; sacred geometries of the trapezoidal entrance and other architectural elements are shared by numerous other distant archaeological sites. Decorative styles and motifs at the bottom of the image displayed at 8:40 probably came from the egyptian hyeroglyph and stands for eyes, in this case it's maybe a worship to "the watchers" and it's very frequent in the past of many cultures. I like very much this video as usual.

Nice video Vlad, just like the Royal Kurgan and the tomb of Clytemnestra. Inside the tomb of Clyemnestra, you can see that the triangle above the doorway has been filled in. The blocks inside the triangle are tightly fitted. I believe the original builders filled in the triangle. It appears that they changed their minds and wanted it filled in. Very strange structures.

Thank you. Yes, I think this is a triangular hole above the trapezoid door - this is a discharge niche, for loosening the weight above the door - and transferring the weight of gravity to the walls ... Most likely idea borrowed from Egypt. Then in the late Bronze Age (and Early Iron age) the Phoenicians and the Carthaginians brought this idea to Mexico The same unloading niche (on a much larger scale) - there is a great pyramid on the Giza plateau

@@vlad9vt You need to check Islamic history and in particular Islamic expansionism after 700. Ostentatious tombs were (and remain so for some) an item of abhorrence for those of the Islamic faith ( ISIS were especially keen to destroy graveyards and mausoleums). The destruction of these places should come as no surprise. Great warriors they may have been, engineers they were not so they had to satisfy themselves with the removal of the incumbent (and looting). There is an equal abhorrence for any and all representations of living things and Egyptian hieroglyphs are nothing if not chock-full of such representations. That they were erased should not surprise us either. They did start to destroy the pyramids but the job was too great for them.
@delta09216 жыл бұрын
This is such an advanced design for ~1,500 BC, unbelievable that someone actually thought of the idea to build this. They knew to remove the stones above the triangle over the entrance doorway to lessen the load and transfer the weight to the sides. I wonder how long this took to construct back then? Maybe a couple years with the proper manpower and machinery for lifting the stones. It must have been beautiful when it was completed.

@@vlad9vt That's QUITE a leap to make over two things having a similar shape. Probably a bit more likely it's just a coincidence? Also, I like how Mexico had to have the idea brought to them since they certainly couldn't have come up with it on their own.
