metal man is overrated. quick man is so overlooked, and so is his theme. its probably because he's the hardest robot master in the game cannon only i love quick man. i think his weapon has more ammo than Punk's weapon in MM10, lol

To add to what amarmehta01 said, the limitations weren't just musical ones. Back then developers were limited in how they could portray the intensity of a situation. They were limited graphically, things like lighting and setting weren't as easy to portray and the characters expression was static for the most part. Music became a key tool to expressing what needed to be felt in order to keep a player interested, and it needed to be done right to keep you playing.
