It's actually Zero's fault which is something a lot of people don't know. The Zero virus infected Sigma when they first fought; and that created all of this.

As from what I understand yes parts of these are from the games, put in chronologicalllaly (dunno how to spell it xD) while the main parts (clearly differen quality etc) is from an actually a story of its own or something, I hope someone can explain it much better than me :P

I like the scene where Zero saves X from falling off the highway. I never seen that scene before, but it's awesome. It shows just how strong X and Zero's friendship really was. They truly were like brothers.

the uploader's intention was to attempt to organize every scene in a sequential order. e.g. by slotting the vile fight within X3's OP theme, i believe he thought that he could elaborate vile's story, before continuing with the OP. quite impressive, first linkage of all the X series together in a video that i've seen. good job. im expecting probably till X6, maybe more? i wish u could have found a way to insert the sounds at the mute parts though. still, commendable effort.

well you have to realize that all this is just clips from the games so if this was a regular movie yeah it will be missing a lot but since there clips you have to play and see the ingame clips as well but for being just the plot clip this is quite good imo....
