MegaMan X: Corrupted - Full Phoenix Armor

A lot of people on the Viral Armor video were saying how Zero was OP and much better than X, so now I give you something to compare it to.
Note: Keep in mind both videos were on B Class.
Phoenix Armor Specs:
Helmet: Scavenger - Have a chance to drop a item that gives health and weapon energy
Arms: Phoenix Buster - Shoots out projectiles that split into smaller homing projectiles upon impact
Body: Focus Charge - Shoots level 1 charged shots as default when at half health or below
Legs: Flame Dash - Increased dash speed and creates a flame trail when dashing on ground

JKB Games hey really big fan but I love how detail zero's entrance is when he has the viral armor not really the super sayain part lol but more how after he lands on the capsule he put his hand down which amazingly realistic and more of a great touch if may yet once I see megaman none of those touches are applied I would love to see that detail landing being applied to megaman as well!! thank you so much for this game if you have a website for donations I'll be glad to contribute! farewell

***** Actually you're wrong. Take the case of SMBX for example. It was fully made & released up to version 1.3. Then Nintendo finds out about it & gives a C&D order. SMBX no longer is being updated, creator has no choice but to abandon it. They even seized the website they made for it.

Animebryan2 That's not the same thing. The creator isn't allowed to develop it anymore, but you can still get access to it. Someone else could quietly edit the source code and release a big update anonymously. If the games are released with such source code available. Not doing so is the fault of the creator, especially if C&D's are a worry. Also, big difference between SMBX a work in progress, and MMXC, a game which will probably be released fully finished.

From your latest video it seems Phoenix got a bit of a redesign. I do love the red and black color scheme you used and I can understand having to get 5 capsules in order to gain the fully powered armor. BTW are the powers still the same (Legs: Fire Dash, Lava Walker; Arms: Fire Buster; Head: Auto Weapon Recharge; Body: Using Weapon Energies to heal with full special weapons) or was there some tweaking? This game just keeps shaping up to be one awesome ride!

I really like the direction your taking X's variable weapon system. In other games you had to stop using the mega buster for a time to use them, making them very situational compared to how all around proficient the buster was. But I see you added the ability to use obtained weapons while holding a charge! That will make them really shine by being able to cover places the standard buster cannot, acting like secondary weapons rather than primary ones. Nice ideas JKB.

JKB I have 3 questions: 1. The hearts are collectibles so much for X and Zero or they are only for which obtains like in Megaman X6? 2. The sound of the footsteps is no longer? Is a good detail. 3. The skills of zero like Raijingeki, Ryuenjin, Shippuuga and Rakouhoha (although the latter i have only seen whit black Zero) can be unlocked whit points obtained up to level? Sin526 Phoenix Chest ability to Auto Charge when at low health. So it makes you fire green shots by default, if you have energy for it.

Did you changed the Phoenix armor to red? If I remembered correctly I thought it was orange? No complaints if you did though. I just wished the Hydra armor has more details compared to phoenix armor.

Just like with Zero, the low HP pose is a bit weird, don’t you think? Maybe you could move the joints (forearm moving in a different speed than arm etc) a bit more for it to feel more fluid? The head also seems to be straying far too much from the chest which is a bit off idk. Apart from that it’s amazing. It definitely feels OP, but it’s valid to keep in mind that the one playing it knows the levels by heart in every detail, so whenever a normal person is playing it, even more so on the first run, they’ll likely be surprised by enemies, lost and die a couple of times before realising the level layout and enemy patterns. I think it’s good :) Also, the miniboss is weak against fire and that’s the reason you single shot it, right? Cause it felt so much harder with the other two. Can’t wait for Hydra Armor!

JKB Games Already have plenty of times, but your game feels a lot smoother and sharper where it comes to animations. Things like the X Buster charged shot now having some more particles to it that remain and move slower, the parallaxes having more apparent layers and the amount of enemies on screen at the same time contribute to the overall perception of tightness of gameplay. Amidst that lays a very static three frame animation, that has poorer quality when compared to the rest. Suit yourself to keep it though, it makes me feel no less impressed by the project

JKB, parabéns pelo ótimo trabalho no projeto no MMXC.Vendo seus videos de comparação entre X e Zero, surgiu uma duvida. Eu acredito que Zero esta sim mais "Overpower" que X, principalmente nos Chefes. Porque digo isso? Alem do Zero causar mais dano que X em um período mais curto de tempo, Zero consegue ANULAR o efeito de invencibilidade que o Chefe obtêm ao se "transformar" em um "Rolo Compressor de Cristal". Em seu video, X não consegue causar dano quando o chefe esta nessa forma, mas Zero consegue quebrar esse efeito com a skill "Ryokuhaken" se não me engano. X Consegue fazer isso com alguma de suas armas?. Com isso Zero tem Muita vantagem aqui, já que não precisa ficar correndo pra la e pra cá, como X tem que fazer. Alem do Zero conseguir quebrar as camadas de Cristal que ficam paralelas as paredes da sala do Chefe, que inclusive refletem os tiros do X, mas o zero aparentemente não tem problema nenhum com elas. Outra coisa, nos Chefes você não usa o P-Buster da Phoenix Armor, porque? O X-Buster possui apenas 3 Cargas agora?(nos primeiros videos, se não me engano eram 4 cargas, sendo que o sprite da ultima carga era parecido com o Tiro do MMX2 na carga máxima com a Armadura). Muito Obrigado pelo seu tempo.

BBoyFureyu Any X-Buster shot gets stronger when you dash, actually. It's vital to speedrunning strategies.

Hmm... I was looking through the older videos and the FB page, but I couldn't find anything that formally states what the Phoenix chest part does. From what I can make out from the video, it's something like a "crisis reactor," basically replacing normal shots with charged ones, as your health gets low. From what I can tell, you get the level 2 charge at about 50% health, and level 3 at around 25%. That's an interesting mechanic, and it nicely compliments the overall aggressive style of the rest of the Phoenix armor.

Suggestion: How about this for the leg upgrade: You can *continually dash* (on the ground) by keeping the dash button held! Maybe instead of an air dash, you get a double jump, too.
