I'm quite late replying here, but technically...? Turns out Zero does survive the ending of Z4. What remained of his physical (copy) body, as revealed in "complete works", was in-fact turned into the Biometal Model Z.

I realized something in Megaman Zero 4. A recurring theme in that game was believing/trusting in positive change. This is partially supported by the fact that the elf in the game had the name Croire (assuming the player doesn't annoy Alouette with changing the name). Croire is a French word that means to believe/trust. Notice here that this elf was a new type of cyber elf developed by Ciel that had the abilities of all the elves (except Jackson cuz he too gud). This was possible since the resistance members (including Zero) believed/trusted in Ciel. Then, we go all the way to the final battle in the game where Ciel tells Zero that he has to teleport out. Zero, being the selfless man that he is, decides not to teleport out so that he could destroy Dr. Well once and for all and save Area Zero at the cost of his (Zero's) own life. The important part here is where Zero tells Ciel to believe in him before he defeats Weil for good (unless we talk Model W, of course) and supposedly dies. Indeed, Ciel says that she believes in Zero at the end as his helmet is broken and in the ground. My main question has always been this: is Zero still alive? Initially, I thought that he would come back and show he was still kicking, but it never happened. The extensive research I have done on the franchise all add up to say that it is unknown as to whether he survived the Ragnarok explosion. I finally (well not finally since I've been holding this in for awhile) feel like I know how this whole thing connects. I feel like Capcom put this all together to add up to this: Zero's fate depends on how much we as fans believe in him (with lots of belief=he managed to survive, and vice-versa). The reason that I think this? Megaman ZX Advent's ending is the very reason that I think what I do! In the ending, Model Z (which is Zero in biometal form) does another selfless act of staying in an exploding Ouroboros (which is the final stage of the game that is created with the pieces of Model W, aka Ragnarok) to freeze the biometals so that Vent/Aile and Grey/Ashe can escape the explosion (how selfless is this dude). Model Z seems really confident that he will not get destroyed by stating that it wasn't his day to meet his maker. Fast forward to the end, and Model Z is not mentioned and is nowhere to be seen. My question here, as you can guess, is this: did Model Z die? Did he overestimate his durability or did he simply say what he said to get Vent/Aile to not hesitate? I mean, it seems perfectly clear that Vent/Aile believed/trusted in Model Z in this scenario. And this instance is reminiscent of MMZ4 where Zero died on Ragnarok (since, to repeat, Ouroboros = All Model W's combined and Model W= Weil + Ragnarok). In my mind, I thought that if Model Z says that he wasn't going to die, he wasn't going to die. Zero, since the very beginning was that type of dude who would never say things lightly; he would keep all the promises that he made (examples from MMZ series: MMZ2, promised that no more Resistance member would die as long as he was around, MMZ-MMZ4, kept the promise he made to X to believe in humans and reploids, especially those he cared about). So, why wouldn't I believe/trust him, knowing all of that?? He's a selfless, caring hero (though he doesn't consider himself as such) who fights for what he believes in and gives it his all 100% of the time in the process. I felt that Capcom put this deep meaning in the Zero series to develop this idea: if we believe Zero is alive, well he very much may be. I mean, how could Zero die in MMZ4, but not in MMZXA under pretty similar circumstances? Both scenarios were if you stay in exploding fortress, you die (with the exception of, I guess, the four biometals? Secret ending is a bit unclear to me). X has always trusted Zero to fight for the greater good (with an exception to X5, but they were both overprotective of each other being exposed to the Sigma Virus for so long, to be fair), even in biometal form since Model X also told Vent/Aile to trust him. And, the many people Zero has met ended up believing in him (ex: Ciel, the humans in Area Zero that thought he was a bad guy due to Dr. Weil, Vent/Aile, etc). So why shouldn't we? In conclusion, I thought that the in-game events had a deeper meaning that alluded to how much we as fans can have a say in whether Zero (or Megaman in general) is still alive. My ending statement is that I still believe in Zero and the Megaman franchise. Btw, sorry for this whole wall of text everyone! And please give some opinions on the ideology. X MaverickHunter created this awesome video. It made me want to type this. My final question: Do you still believe in the Megaman franchise?

My opinion is this: as long as Capcom doesn't make any MMZ games, we can suppose that Zero is dead. Zero will live if they continue on making the series. But for me Zero still lives before MMZX.

I was also trying to compare the 2 similar endings (Z4 and ZXA). I agree with what you said about Model Z as I think it is still out there (more of a chance to be alive than Zero's body since Ragnarok blew up in space and his body would have to go through atmospheric reentry, while Ouroboros blew up in the sky). As far as I know, his fate remains unknown since anything can happen in video games and the possibility of future MM games depend on how well MM11 does. Yeah, maybe I am over thinking all of this XD. No matter how many times I watch your videos or play the Megaman Zero Collection for the PS4 and DS the ending of Z4 still gets to me I wish they had extended the Zero series to 8 games like they did to X would be nice if they brought back the series with X Zero and Bass with a whole new enemy; crazy how Dr.Light and Wily created the ultimate robots who indulged in war for 100’s of years even after Zero X and the 4 guardians died and was resurrected as bio metals in the ZX series they still fought for the same cause and reasons both Light and Wily created them for (although X was created to destroy Zero both ended up working together as heroes despite being polar opposites)

XInfra RedX oh yeah, try beating bosses in MMX and MMZ series again without using bosses' weakness, you'll see it's much harder and in MMZ here you can just upgrade your damage using elf or other stuff and use charged saber attack less than 10 time and you win While in MMX especially MMX4 if you're a new player, it's hard winning any boss with zero without any element or power and some boss doesn't even have weakness and MMX4 zero had low armor

@@longphan7656 Nah X4-X6 with zero is really easy especially with Saber dash cancel. And in X6 zero is broken as hell. Here it's harder especially on hard mode like in Zero 2 and in Zero 1 two hits in that mode you're pretty much dead. Not to mention you want to avoid using cyber elves if you want an S-rank while getting the ex skills from the bosses as you will be penalized for using an item.

Busco a personas que me hagan hacks de los juegos cuando se trata de roms, pero en versiones de pc es mas facil cambiar la musica y lo hago yo mismo. solo es cosa de buscar la carpeta de la musica y convertir los tracks del gusto al formato correcto... por ejemplo, para megaman x8 basta con convertir los archivos a formato de audio .ogg, lo renombras a como esta en la carpeta y listo. para el x7 es igual pero con formatos wav (aun más fácil)

es parecido al hack de la musica del smash, en el smash hay un motor de sonido que reproduce archivos midi, es por eso que la musica puede reproducirse y repetirse infinitamente sin que haya en algún momento una repetición. en cambio cuando se hackea la música se reemplaza con pistas de sonido. en el caso de Megaman zero, los midis fueron descartados y se reemplazaron con wavs asi como en el smash. no se exactamente todo el proceso, pero para decompilar los archivos dentro del rom usaron el programa (DS Lazy)

Can someone explain to me why the bosses in the MMZ - MMZX takes so much frickin dmg?! Even without the junk armor! It's as if you just so much as sneezes on them and they literally falls apart!

Sramm VII The bosses in zero and zx games take damage in chunks . That is the1 life bar of boss gets whittled in 3/4 hits while x series bosses would take 6 hits + This is done purposefully because you can't enlarge your life bar without Cyber elves and bosses have got a significant reinforcing on their agility . X series = Slog Zero series : fast paced escapade

Zairrd Vordenta i mean they're the boss of the stage! Even if the game is mean to be fast paced... They could at least survive more than 4 "charged swing"... I expect some challenges when it comes to the boss... Not easily telegraphed attack which all it takes is timing...

Sramm VII Well the bosses have 2 bars of health here which means they have 2 Full HP instead of one single bar in x series . I really think bosses are harder than x series . I played Z3 and only children inrabbita and blizzack stagroff were the pathetic bosses. This is Z4 the easiest game in the series and it became easier because the past 3 games were notorious for their brutality and inticreates made it easy to make it accessible for newcomers and ranking system was bs which doesn't give ex skills for weapon below A rank. There is a boss called Tretista Kelverian in Z3.Try beating him. Also final bosses have 3 bars of health excluding first 2 games

To make you feel more badass in Mega Man Zero, they added extra damage to the saber if you use it while jumping or dashing. Not only that but, certain "hits" in a combo can also bypass the normal invulnerability frames a boss has, inflicting damage while they are still stunned and recovering from the previous hit. Chaining this up properly can do some serious damage to everything and feels really good when you pull it off.

First you have to equip EX skills in menu first. Note that you can equip only 1 buster skill at a time. About how to use. For buster skills just fully charge your buster and shoot. For saber skills you need to hold directional then press saber button. Fire:Up+saber Ice:Down+saber while on land Elec:Dash+saber Drill:Down+saber while on air.
