Not just this scene either. For example the other final boss stages, all of them take place in a special place. Zero 1: At the lair of the evil dictator which is a bit cliche but classic. Zero 2: At the grave of his best friend. Zero 3: At his second birth place. Zero 4: On a space station that is about to fall on Area Zero aka the place that where his past finally caught up to him and changed his life forever (also the place of a new beginning with his death). I can put in a lot more details like the boss fight against Elpizo and how its one big story telling hinting at the true essence of the dark elf. (he can't control her during the fight which is why some of his attacks are useless since they don't have any aim like the teleportation one)

A lot of people giving props to Ciel's VA (and rightfully so) but lets not forget that Dr. Wile's VA did a pretty good job to dude sounds like an absolute psycho who has nothing but contempt for the world and is proud of it, while Zero's VA sounds like a person who's been through so much like losing his gf and best friend he even lost his reason to fight all the way back in X4, giving us that infamous line, what is he fighting for? Yes, he was created for achieving world dominance, but in the end, he proved that, even if he was made for that purpose, he chose not to follow that path. Zero chose his own path, a path of peace for those who he really cared about, which is humanity as a whole and reploids, and by doing that he achieved redemption for both his creator( Dr. Wily ) and himself. He chose to be more than a hero, he chose to be a redeemer.

When Zero defeated Omega, he redeemed himself from his past sins. When he defeated Dr. Wiel, he redeemed his creator Dr. Wily, because Dr. Wiel represented the summary of all of Dr. Wily's past transgressions, frustrations, failures, envy and sins, so by stopping him, not only did he save humanity, he also saved Dr. Wily's soul. In a way I like to think that, after those events, Dr. Wily is finally at peace becoming friends with Dr. Light again, just before their rivalry.

Actually I used to play this good xD it's just the result of liking a game so much you become so good at it. I even used to speedrun from any %, Max rank and 100% of the X and Zero games back in that age even being as stylish as possible when playing in front of friends, for most people who spend most of the time only playing one game twice and then leaving it for another seems impossible but anyone can easily become this good if they keep practicing.

Zero feels like he knows the Dark Elf because she was made from his Maverick Virus. Also, Iris kinda snapped and tried killing Zero for the whole deal about her brother. In any case, Ciel's a human. Some folks believed the Mother Elf was somehow Iris, including me at one point, so yeah. lol Ciel managed to lead an armed resistance against the only world power with just civilian reploids until Zero was awakened and developed an energy source that could have potentially stopped the whole conflict if Weil hadn't screwed all that up. To say she's wise beyond her years would be an understatement; I don't think the age difference would even matter when she's mature and strong enough to handle that kind of stress. The song "Clover" is pretty clearly about Zero's devotion to Ciel and his attempts to stay strong for her. In-game, Zero's last very last words were to tell Ciel to believe in him, and in Z3's ending, he thanks Ciel for her faith in him (as well as presumably reminding him of X's own final words), reiterating that he is Zero. One of the most obvious hints is a female resistance member kissing Zero and asking him to not tell Ciel about it.

God damn everything about this is so good. From Weil's voice acting in general to Ragnarok Core leading perfectly into Falling Down to Zero delivering a climactic final blow right as the song ends. And then that codename, Redeemer. Zero is redeeming himself from his past actions in being the host of the Maverick Virus as well as being the final creation of Dr. Wily, thus redeeming Wily as well. To redeem can also mean to save someone or something from an evil, of which Zero certainly is. I've probably watched this like over two dozen times. It's just so well done.

As a note here, in Japanese, Zero doesn't say that he doesn't care about Justice. He says he doesn't see himself as a 正義のみかた, literally "an ally of justice," which is often translated into "superhero." It's the word used for lots of children's superheroes like Ultra Man, etc. Zero is explaining that he has been labeled many things, a virus, a copy, a legendary hero, a maverick, etc. Weil's sense of justice tried to make him believe that he would be labeled as a maverick for harming a human. Zero's long had to wonder what he's fighting for anymore. His own sense of justice? To prove something? No, all along, it hasn't mattered what he's been labeled. He's only ever fought to protect those who believe in him, in who he really is regardless of his past, original purpose, or body. Zero is a hero to those who need him. If an enemy appears to attack those he cares about, he's not going to hesitate to take them down. So freaking cool.

The Voice actor for ciel was amazing since she captured the emotion of everything that was happening make it so authentic. but then again im not surprised considering this is Rie Tanaka were talking about. at the top of my head i could think a few roles she was amazing at. Lacus Clyne - Gundam Seed Mitsuru Kirijo - Persona 3 and Neptune/Purple Heart - Hyperdimension Neptunia The amazing part about the last part is that Neptune and Purple heart have two different voices and you wouldnt know that its the same V.O unless you did research on it

In this video he doesn’t take any damage, but in a normal play through I think the design of this battle is so perfect. Unless you know Weil’s moves, you are almost certainly going to take damage in order to get extra hits in, which I think is brilliant design for this fight. Zero knows full well he’s not going to survive the crash if it means saving the world, so taking damage doesn’t matter anymore

Zero is the perfect example of something created for evil purposes doesn't necessarily has to follow that path. He chose his own path, the path of good, peace and redeemption. From my view, I think Zero is the actual representation of what Dr. Wily thruthly is, without his jealousy and envy for Dr. Light. I don't think Dr. Wily is pure evil, he's just a broken man, but Zero, shows the best of Wily and what is supposed to be. This is something that Isoc (Dr. Wily's AI conscience) noticed in Zero back in Megaman X6, that's why he was proud of Zero, to the point that before he left, Zero was able to listen to Wily's voice about how proud he is: "Go go... Zero, you are the strongest robot." When Zero defeated Omega, he redeemed himself from his past sins. When he defeated Dr. Weil, he redeemed his creator Dr. Wily, because Dr. Weil represented the summary of all of Dr. Wily's past transgressions, frustrations, failures, envy and sins, so by stopping him, not only did he save humanity and reploids, he also saved Dr. Wily's soul. In a way I like to think that, after those events, Dr. Wily is finally at peace becoming friends with Dr. Light again, just like before their rivalry.

I love this interpretation and wholeheartedly agree with it. I always had a personal thought for a post cut scene after you see Zero's helmet. A blue light would glow from the edge of the screen. Camera angle shifts, and you see a 'hologram' of Dr. Wily. He looks down at the broken helmet sadly. A hand rests on his shoulder. He looks up and turns his head to see Dr. Light's hologram, smiling slowly and nodding. Immediately, Dr. Wily frowns, but a long moment later, the frown softens into one of contentment and solace. He simply nods back in return and he looks back down at Zero's helmet. After that, they fade into nothing.

The thing that made this battle so great for me had to be the fact that you don't even know if Zero's going to survive. It's such a dramatic scene, but it's still a Megaman game, and everyone saw what happened with Classic and X, but you still think about the fact that THE Mega Man X died just a game back, and you're just left throwing everything you have at this last fight in hopes that you can stop Ragnarok without even knowing if you'll come out the other end with your life.
