Oh boy... I've been dreading this one for awhile now. Christ this video's longer than the final stage... Well lets go at it, for starters the stage is a bit overwhelming but not as much once you know what the patterns are. Really the stage is separated into 3 parts when the fairies are spamming you with either blue, green, or pink talismans. While a little stressful at times each one has a distinct way to dodge them.
Rin isn't much of a threat... for now. As is the mid boss twice she's little more than free heart pieces. Her attacks really aren't a threat compared to the stage proper.
Now as for Satori she's... Well lets just say we're making up for lost time when Aya didn't do anything special last game. Satori uses four spell cards and the last three are copies of varying difficulty of your partners spell cards cherry picked from anything they appeared in previously. Interestingly this means fighting game spell cards are fair game. Obnoxiously enough though it also means Shoot the Bullet spell cards are fair game as well but thankfully those few are pretty tame.
But this means Satori's difficulty ranges astoundingly from character to character. Not just because I'm best as MariAli but I find Alice's spell cards to be much easier than most other ones in Satori's repertoire. Conversely I feel so sorry for anyone playing as ReiKari cause well... Yukari's a thing...

11:26 And she ends it with one that is a *LITERAL* trauma for Marisa. The Grimoire of Marisa implies that she has repressed memories of *NEARLY DROWNING* as a child (she says that this Spell Card makes her "recall a scene of looking up from the bottom of the water"). It's one of the only spells in the Grimoire to have a *Stress Level* and she outright says that the spell makes her "feel anxious and disturbed" as the reason why she won't try to copy that Spell Card. I think there was one fangame whose demo actually expands on that (but since it's a demo, we don't get the full picture).

I find it endlessly amusing that Reimu when paired with Aya, when she catches on to the mind-reading thing, doesn't just seem excited about the idea of facing past spell cards, she's actively imagining which ones she wants to face.

Phantasm stage boss in PCB, penultimate opponent in IaMP and with some nasty spellcards to boot, often a pain in the a** in SWR as well (we do NOT talk of Doppler Effect). Edit: and of course, Shoot the Bullet as well

Imma just put this here if people don’t know what games these spells come from. Alice: 1. Perfect cherry blossom 2. Shoot the bullet 3. Immaterial and missing power (probably scarlet weather rhapsody too) Patchouli All are from embodiment of scarlet devil, 3 is her extra stage. Nitori All are from mountain of faith, 3. Is her lunatic spell version Yukari 1. Perfect cherry blossom phantasm 2. Immaterial and missing power (scarlet weather rhapsody too probably) 3. Shoot the bullet Suika I think 1. Is from immaterial and missing power while 2 and 3 are from shoot the bullet Aya 1. Mountain of faith 2. I think phantasmagoria of flower view 3. Scarlet weather rhapsody. (Probably) Omega lemme know if this is correct.

Return Inanimateness is Alice's deathbomb from IN (that was then reused for IMaP). Insect Nest is not in IMaP, I would remember that shit in the absolute mess that is Yukari fight. Suika's are mostly from IMaP; DFL is based on Suika's story penult while the other two are copies of her first (I forgot if it's named after the story version or the actual one) and final story super. That being said, DFL and Pandemonium/Million Demons did appear in proper shmup form in StB first.

2:11 After you dodge through this final fairy's first wave, you can just stick to the very bottom of the screen in the very center, and the bullets will avoid you. You'll even be able to find the centerline anytime by seeing where the bullets are crossing over one another in the middle.

I'm kinda surprised Illusionary Dominance wasn't used in Aya's portion. Satori's whole gimmick here is using spell cards that people struggled with in the past. That's the whole point of Terrible Souvenir.

I remember the first time i faced Satori When she was about to start the recolection my trauma of Forbidden Arcanium Hourai Elixir triggered but i knew that wasnt gonna happen since i alredy about the mechanic with your partner, But still i am almost sure that thing needa atleast 2 peapol to be unleashed so unless Koishi was standing behind me rigth at that time theres no way that could happen... hopefuly

[2:37] Tee~hee, if anything, the opposite happened. I'm not sure where I stand on ZUN reusing spellcards. If we take off our nostalgia goggles for a moment, it seems a bit lazy, even if it adds much-welcome variety to each character's playthrough. At least they're modified rather than copy-pasted... Whatever. It seems like duplicating spellcards is the scene-based games' job now. (Note: the replicated fighting game cards are exempt from this criticism; they;re really neat)

That’s a score multiplier of sorts. It appears when you go up the item get border line and gradually decreases when you’re below it.
