The Legion has arrived! An all new faction in Planetary Annihilation to be playable alongside Planetary Annihilation Titans. This is essentially a 'community expansion mod' made by a large team of community members over many months. The units in this faction are not a 'reskin' of the 'vanilla' PA units. They have entirely different stats and features resulting in an entirely different play-style.

Planetary Annihilation is a brand new and innovative Real-time Strategy (RTS) game created by Uber Entertainment following a very successful kick-starter campaign, raising over $2 million of a $900,000 goal with over 44,000 backers. The folks working on the game are seasoned veterans having worked on games such as Supreme Commander and Total Annihilation!
Gone are the days of playing on a flat map, now you have to think about all 360 degrees of offence and defence while you amass several thousand units on expansive battlefields in diverse solar systems (with no unit caps). You can fight on land with vehicles, tanks and bots, in the skies with huge squadrons of aircraft, in the oceans with your large fleets of battleships or even work your way up to artillery and nuclear weaponry.

If you ever find that your opponent's base is a tough nut to crack; move off planet, build engines on a moon or asteroid and hurl it to crash into their base, sending both the planet and your opponent into oblivion!

me and my friend tried this with Legion and it's really fun. what you do is get 5 AIs on the hardest difficult then get 2 human players to bunker up as legion and see how long you last. very cinematic and fun

It would have been cool if the Holocene would cause tremendous earthquakes all over the planet first destroying all ground units and change the terrain by having massive crystal mountains pop up and destroy all air and orbital units while pulsing energy keeps players from coming back to the planet, leaving the planet messed up and unable to build bases on it anymore, effectively having the same effect as a Ragnarok but in a different way.

Thanks to your videos I've started playing PA again. I was in the alpha but stopped sometime after release, before Titans came out. It's good that mods are integrated properly now, I can imagine that Legion will end up being the de facto way to play the game years from now. I remember my reactions being a lot better than they are now :P

I think this mode misses the purpose of Faction Calculus. Powerhouse(Empire): Strong Units, last to leave the planet but will likely kick everyone else off of starting on the same planet as the other two. Can build metal planets so they always have access to the annhilizer. Commander is able to upgrade itself to be able to 1 use jump to another body (before needing to upgrade again) or at a higher level upgrade itself to free travel between planetary bodies. Cannon(League): So the medium faction. Planetkiller is a planetbuster missile, build it and send it on its way, it is exposed during travel time so it could be intercepted. Can also build Commander piloted "vehicles" to make it a massive planet Commander or give it interplanetary mobility. Horde (Cult): First to leave the planet both in terms of "moving" to other planets and tje first to get kicked off if any of the other factions are there. Commander doesn't travel but instead "clones" itself on other planets via "Clone cannon". Give these guys the doomsday device (Ragnarok/Holocene) as their planet killers.

it's not dreams, recently a new group of modders are making a new faction called The Bugs. It's a swarm based faction, where units are weak but can grow into overwhelming numbers quickly

2022 and Legion still only has four commanders not sure if it is a outdated version or something I am using but, if I could mod I would be tempted to make some myself, (but at the same time I would probably just work on a 3rd faction since I have had an idea on the back burner for almost five years now) since... I really like Raptor-type Commanders and Legion has none. But I feel like Legion has opened up a fair few possibilities for modding PAT, like around two weeks ago a new faction called the Bugs was put into beta, which is a faction of organic units instead of machines, and they are capable of fighting either alongside or against Legion with another mod, "Bug armies are highly adaptable, using of swarms of evolving units to poke and prod the sturdier defenses of other factions until they finally develop a powerful late game force." and I feel like the Legion and Bugs may be the first of many community made factions, and I honestly can’t wait to see what else may show up to the battlefields in the future.

It's a shame the shields aren't like they are in SupCom but at least they exist. A lot of neat stuff in there. Looks like a number of those units were inspired by the original TA and some from SupCom.

Hey Marshall. I need help. It says to change the contents of version.txt of my pte install to 89755,And that playfab servers are down. But they're not. Ive installed Legions. Any help here? I have no idea what to do. How I know playfab servers are up because I have other friends who play this unmodded and they can play mp just fine. I would appreciate a response. Shanks.

Changing the "######-pte" to "89755" allows you to have the PTE installed (and therefore access to community mods and the new changes) while being able to play multiplayer games with people not using the PTE. Where it says Playfab servers are down, that refers to the PTE servers, hence why someone playing PTE cannot play multiplayer with Legion for example unless they use a custom server. I think this is correct, but someone like Nic or Elodea may be able to clarify.

Marshiiii I have tried to get legion mod, so I was at PTE and I went to community mods downloaded the mod and went back, but I didn't get the red screen, I've tried this for couple of hours but It didn't work for me :( do you know any solutions?

+Cluster4SKL btw when I host a lobby I do see the names of the commanders and see that the mods are loaded but I don't see the Icons of the commanders and when in a match, My commander is just white and can only shoot and move. (It does take a long time to get out of the community mods tab (like half an hour or so)

+Cluster4SKL Make sure you don't have any conflicting mods in PAMM (Ideally uninstall all PAMM mods). Check that you haven't clicked 'disable' after installing.

+Cluster4SKL hey there, what you describe sounds llike you are playing with the client portion of legion disabled (no textures or red UI). In the CMM menus, make sure you have enabled legion expansion in both the active server and client tabs. Client one will be called Legion Expansion Client.

You can't build 'T3'. You build T2 on top of T1 at which point it becomes 'fully upgraded'.

Legion multiplayer is currently offline unless you are playing on custom servers. You will be able to play Legion vs Ai however. For general multiplayer make sure that you have changed your version.txt file's contents from "#####-pte" to 89755. Version.txt can be found in your installation folder.

Should be a box on the chat bar at the bottom for "Join Community Chat". If you mean in game, then Shift+Enter in team games chats to everyone.

God, Legion just ruined custom games forever. Every time I (uber 6) lost to some gold-plat trash abusing Legion hive/star cannon/AOE multi-hit anti-air-and-ground artillery/AllOurUnitsAreBetterThanMLA horse shit, I'd slit my wrists about 40 times or so. And seriously, EVERY unit they have requires micro to even have a hope of defeating. Guess what, this isn't SC2. Thanks Legion, I wanted to wear long sleeve shirts for the rest of my life anyways! What a way to ruin an otherwise fun game forever. #Legion #Skill #AMoveToVictory
