I forgot to mention, there is one terrible match-up for this deck: Soraka-TK LOL Maybe i'll optimize the deck later down the line, to include some removal for Kench, who just feasts on our units, but honestly considering how many other match-ups we have to account for, i'm personally ok with us having a really bad one, and a bucnh of solid ones. i just realised some really cool hidden synergy in this deck. i remember at the start of the expansion swim was saying that broadbacked protector wasnt good in tahm soraka because in the matchups where it really mattered that broadbacked damaged itself (the control ones), he wouldnt do that cos control decks dont danage ur nexus. BUT with ember maiden you damage your own nexus every turn!! problem solved

He actually got zeded. Lee Sin provided just the challenger. Didn't understand why Mogwai didn't play the Kindly Tavern Keeper since it was obvious that his opponent would buff Zed and use Lee Sin to challenge away his board. Sonic Wave also is not a surprising card.

@@alcian91 He's dead anyways... What's he gonna do with 1 extra round, huh? The mentor was gonna die and when Lee survived to attack again (which he def would) he could double gem and win. Not to mention if he played tavernkeep he couldn't have used bastion and the Lee woulda basically left him crawling after the attack anyways. There was no reason to tavernkeep. And if by SOME impossible miracle he survived via an enemy misplay he woulda managed to stall one round where he still 100% can't win. Yay... Lee is broken, and please don't look at zed as a scapegoat. Predict the obv outcome.

i wish they would change taric to this effect: Play: grant an ally tough Support: copy the last spell that only targets me on my supported ally. Plus give taric tough baseline. Level up stay the same. This would give taric so much more to play with. Embermaiden combo? check. Better playability with vlad? Check. absolutely hilarious with braum? Check.

I have used that variant of this deck, the two cost one is difficult to use because it is too slow, the 4 cost seems good but since the deck has no overwhelm giving cards even if it gets huge blocking it is simple, Scarmother is a good finisher but it's way too slow for this deck.

Great vid and great deck. I will be playing it in the future. I think you could have hushed the Fiora when he used twin discipline on her. She would have been at one health when the round ended and ember maiden would then kill her.

I have been playing a more direct version of this and loving the combo of these 2 heros. I found tarkaz to at times be inconsistent as a damage trigger, although he was a good body. I actually used take heart's (these really boost braum and even soraka becomes a serious threat) augur of the old ones, and uzgar the ancient as my top end damagers. The regen power with 2 challengers is so supportive to soraka and controlling the board but i find i am not reliant on star spring to win the game often able to close the game out without it seeing the board I am not as high ranked due to my time limits i rarely get anyway high or much off the start line sometimes but i am having a lot of fun with this region and champ combo.

41:20 Ngl I thought that there was a misplay in not playing the tavern keeper but then I took a moment to think about it and realized something. Even if you put him out your still eating 18 damage which puts you on a 2 turn timer by which you need to pull a hail mary out of nowhere using only tarkaz... against a lee sin deck which probably has the answer to what ever you might throw at him... lee sin right now is BUSTED. (an idea i have for nerfing him is hit his attack and level up condition at least making him have 2 attack and maybe having him need 1 or 2 more spells to level. Again this is just my take on what should happen. Oh that and knock his health down to 3 to so its harder to play lee sin and keep him alive (kinda give him the heimer effect where you NEED something to keep him alive with))

Hey Mogwai, I'm building a deck with Soraka and Vladimir. The core concept of the deck is to swarm your units with Crimson Units using Crimson Curator's Passive and Blood for Blood and Transfusion. Using Guiding Touches, Astral Protection and Star Spring for healing, Pale Cascades and Hushes for Combat Tricks and Bastion for Defense. Broadback Protrector for Healing your Nexus and more damaged HP, Vladimir's level up and Battling Ram for high HP units in the late game. Hope you can fix that and make a deck video from it. Looking forward to it!

Chempunk Shredder and Funsmith need major stat/mana changes. Funsmith needs to be a 4 drop with the same statline, so it can synergize with a 5 mana Chempunk. These cards should be played together and is amazing to curve into. And honestly, Miss Fortune on turn 3, Funsmith on 4, and Shredder at 5 is an amazing combo.

Hey Mogwai, had the same Idea with the synergie between Ambermaiden and Starspring but I tried it with plunder and selfwound (-Scar- Units) I´d love you to see giving it a try. I just cant get it to work properly :/ Basic idea is to thrive your selfwound cards up and drop an Ursar to give your units overwhelm and just end.

Made a deck with this concept on the start of the expansion, really like it, but I'm almost giving up on it due to SwainTF, that deck is just an APPALING matchup because Ravenous Flock is pretty much always active for them. Would also consider putting in Zennith Blade for the greed(?) and value with starshepard, once I lost to a Warmother with a 23/3 because I didn't want to attack into a Tryndamere

The other day I was playing against Pirate aggro, managed to wipe their board even though just simply they killed 2 of my landmarks, nevertheless even though they were top decking, they just managed to draw 2x decimates to finish me off. I really like the newly implemented healing mechanism and I would like to see some offensive/def soraka deck (apart from Kench), which can counter or at least make the game more fair against aggro.

I know you're on a breif break, but I've been having fun with a custom brew you may enjoy (assuming you havent already. Just coming back after a while and didn't scout for it.) Use teemo with targon and the support and safety spells it offers to make him super hard to kill and quite large. It does fizzle out later, but usually you'll get plenty of puffcaps in there to finish them. Far from top tier, but definitely top tier fun.

Hey Miguel I had a really stupid deck idea but you might end up liking it since you seem to like combining TK with different champs so I decided to post it. Go Lulu TK with the usual support package, aim to level up Lulu asap and use her Help Pix to give TK barrier so he can safely cast An Acquired Taste every round. Bonus points if you manage to fit Trevor Snoozebottom or Swoll Squirrel into this abomination of a deck.

I tried this combination when the expansion came, but i would find mostly soraka and TK combo as opponent and i had no counter to stupid eating issue of TK. So i gave it up. Star spring with demacia is working quite awesome though.
