I remember like 12 years ago when Vanessa Hudgens was getting ripped apart by the media and public over her nude photo scandal... Megan was the only person to stand up for her and say that she was a victim. I've loved her since then.

what is sooooo sad though is when she did all of this ten years ago people ripped her apart for it. And now people doing the same thing with the me too movement are getting praised. She exposed michael bay for being a creep all those years ago and people were mad at her and tried to blacklist her and were telling her how stupid she is for saying things about him when he "made her". I wonder if her all these years later seeing the woman get praised for speaking up hurts her because she got the complete opposite of treatment.

It wasn’t a burden to her lol. Girl had like $100k worth of surgery and procedures done by the time she did Jennifer’s Body. She didn’t make such a substantial investment on something that would hurt her career. She has great business instincts. In fact, her looks are what saved her. A lot of the hate toward her was because of her being typecast as the mean, popular girl, with few other types of roles on her resume. Other actors who have been bullied for the same reason have left acting entirely, left the spotlight to switch to theater, and, in some cases, literally unalived themselves. Megan’s looks helped shield her from her how bad it could have been, helped balance the criticisms out, and helped her career withstand them. Which is not to say her career wasn’t impacted at all by it, and certainly her mental health was - but she still ultimately fared better than 99% of actors who go through similar.

NO ONE sees themselves the way others see them. And like she said, she didn't grow up being told she was beautiful constantly, that didn't happen until she got big in Hollywood. But also, it's one thing to develop into a young woman and begin to feel attractive. It's another to be heralded as the MOST beautiful women ever, and only be recognized for your sex appeal. It's very sad, surreal, and alienating. I don't think even confident people with no insecurities (which doesn't describe Megan) could accept themselves as THE number one sex symbol of a decade.

Megan is so much more thoughtful and intelligent than the media makes her out to be. She pissed off people with her smarts, and they stopped casting her is what it sounds like. I have a friend that looks like her, I spent years watching this type of beauty glide through life. I used to wish people looked at me with praise, like they looked at my friend. But beauty and brains is a blessing and a curse.

She seems to ignore bad reviews and ridiculous questions like those journalists' questions, but on the other hand, it can't be said that these don't upset or annoy her. EXACTLY! I am turning 28 this month and it is freaking hard & I'm not even in Hollyweird.. like it sounds stupid because it IS but our world is so obsessed with numbers and age and women are considered old after they're over 25 basically hence why if you want to be in that industry or model and aren't younger than 25, forget it. I mean I'm not 30 yet, but I'm nearly there and it saddens me because even still she is hot AF and who cares how old she is?! Even bebe rexha was told she's too old (at 30) to be "sexy". . . But she is sexy and she's 30 sooo Ok? It's just misogyny. Men asked that question, because men love girls and hate women. They have their whole lives to party it up and have no expectations and do whatever the hell they want.. settle down at 30-50. Women have so much pressure to have it all together and be retired moms by 30..god forbid 35. But whatcha gonna do.. thats the world we live in.
