Muffler delete is ok if you on budget. But you need the back pressure and a nice exhaust is way to go. They spend money to gain hp with the right flow. You won’t have that rasp or droning either you can get with delete. Coming along.

The middle Y pipe on my Megan axle back rests against the cross beam above it (has 0 clearance due to the larger pipe) and it is SUPER annoying. May take a pry bar to the entire thing to see if i can fix it. There is 0 give in its position either. The factory exhaust has a crimp where its hitting; no idea why Megan didn't do this either How is yours not hitting it? I have the LI0625 one so basically same idea just diff tips/mufflers

Too late now, but I'm curious how it would have been with just the Vibrant resonator and a J-pipe or a Helmholtz resonator to kill the drone. I actually preferred that tone over the Megan axle back....

​@6kshaunn90 it is based on the drone frequency. You will need to use a mic to find out which frequency stands out among the others then you'll need to get on Google and figure out the calculations. I use Helmholtz resonators because they work better, but you also have to do more math....

Curious question as we own the same car. How has gas prices affected you? I rarely drive my Lexus IS however it’s not mostly parted in the garage. I mostly take my 4 cylinder Toyota Corolla because it’s superb on gas in these high prices from Hell.

The Lexus is has better fuel efficiency than my Honda Pilot and my previous car tbh. I want to daily my Lexus more, the issue is I don’t want to deal with the traffic.

@@chippynohesi1806 I have AWD too but I managed to get +20 total miles on full tank and +2mpg with a cheap mod. well all I did was waste my gas (seriously), drive my car hard for a month, do the “Italian tune up”, added fuel additives to clean the fuel injectors, cleaned my throttle body (mine was clean but still did it), have an F-sport lower air box (or just mod oem airbox), and drive the car hard again for 30-40 mins. It also got rid of the nasty rotten egg smell when Hard accelerating (2nd gear up to 5,500 rpm or 6,000 rpm) *windows up. Still smells nasty windows down tho. Good luck…

@@nimmord.12how much did it cost to do all of this? I also have AWD I do get that strange smell every time I launch the car and I'm getting 15.6 MPG I don't know if that's normal since I drive the car pretty hard

@@-_ruz_- I found a way cheaper fix for the smell… Just clean the MAF Sensor… mine was mostly due to bad fuel to air mixture under heavy acceleration… Cost less than $10 just for the MAF sensor cleaner… As for the fual additives it’s $8 per bottle everytime you fill the gas tank. Add the fuel additive before filling up the tank. Helps clean the engine. As for the Italian tune up, just drive at night on your local highway/tollway or interstate road and rev the engine up or just cruise at 3k rpm for a good minute. That should burn the carbon build up (works best when engine is in working temp.)

How’s the drone? Compared to a muffler delete? I have an IS, that I just got the muffler deleted with a vibrant resonator, and I think I’ll be putting mufflers back on, or going with an axle back. Thoughts with any drone on this?

The drone is louder. A vibrant resonator and after market axle back will be a better set up

@@125RickC vibrant resonator and a muffler delete results to super loud drone and lost of power. I went with the Megan racing axle back and it toned down the drone. Plus gain power again

Axle doesn’t trigger a check engine light. If you were to swap the cats, higher chance of getting a check engine light. Axle back helps increase hp so the mpg will go up allow the engine release back pressure a little bit more efficiently.
