I think its actually based of the movie "witch hunter" with Vin Diesel when there was a monster which had one purpose which was to punish witches who brake the laws of the supernatural world. The construction of the object in the video and the one from the witch hunter movie looks so similar and seeing as how this video is based on the hansel and gretel theme and the vin diesel movie had aspects of that story in it, it kinda makes sense. Also, in the movie, the creature also acted as a living prison for the criminal witches which explains why dua and megan are first seen inside it.
