Specifically 1 - how to forgive your past self for the mistakes they’ve made (especially when they still impact you years later) and/or 2- how to deal with dealings of failure and when you don’t live up to who you want to be. Honestly when it comes to your past self, as someone who's done and believed alot of shit things. I've learned that you kinda just have to have almost pity on yourself. Forgiveness isnt enough. And I say pity simply because past you was ignorant. You didnt know the things you do now. That's just growth. And having to deal with those consequences can be hard, but atleast it's the you now dealing with them.

If you learn how to forgive yourself for past mistakes, let me in on it! I'm in my 60s and there are a couple things I haven't quite forgiven myself for. Sometimes I think I'm okay, now, but boy, do those regretful/guilty feelings come painfully bubbling up at times. So think about what you do BEFORE you do it, so 40+ years later you won't HAVE to forgive yourself. 😌

Even if you're not broke, $50 for a thrifted scarf is insane. LOL I pay about $2 to $3 for same quality scarves at my thrift stores in Texas! I think ThredUp might have *eek!* inflated their price on that scarf a bit. The most expensive scarf brand new on the Brooks Brothers website is $168... just sayin'. Gotta price check everything!

I was 99% sure ThredUP was overpriced but after seeing they sell freaking H&M pants for 15 bucks I´m 100% sure. My mom owns a second hand store and I'm telling you, this is waaay too overpriced. That obviously has nothing to do with Megan, I love you and I love your style

I am so happy to see that someone feels the same way. I've always thought ThredUP is the thrift store for people who actually have money to spend on new clothes. Thrift stores are supposed to help people who can't afford regular store prices in my opinion

@@zoeytigger Exactly and if I didn't know what's the buying price for them I wouldn't say anything but even if the marketing and brand deals with influencers cost them a lot, their clothes are overpriced and the worst part about it is that it completely defeats the purpose of second hand shopping because people are not gonna go for overpriced thredup clothes even though it's the more sustainable way of shopping when they can buy stuff off of sites like asos or fashion nova that are new for cheaper. And the fast fashion industry keeps thriving. I have the same feeling about people who make money out of selling clothes they bought in Goodwill on Depop for 5x the price they bought it for.

Had to pause the video when you talked about the great gatsby scene because I love that movie/book and that scene made no sense to me either until my teacher explained it, especially when she was like, "i've never seen such beautiful shirts before" because she's also rich, like what do you mean? But it was really just a moment of "reading between the lines" he's throwing these shirts at her like, "look at all of these things that I have! We can be together because i'm not poor and you can have whatever you want" It was him proving to her that he was worth her love. And her moment of "I've never seen such beautiful shirts before" wasn't about the shirts it was about her thinking about what a mistake it was marrying Tom. That's why she wished that her daughter would grow up to be "a beautiful little fool" because either way she could just marry rich and not worry about anything. ...anyway, we'll rejoin next week for our book club lol
