About the fact that it fits better in shops, I read somewhere that it's because of the way they hang the mirrors in the fitting area/rooms, you look thinner or something and then you think you look amazing, you go home with your regular mirrors and then "hey it's just regular me again".

I like videos like this - as opposed to the tutorial fashion vids where they focus a lot on what lengths/prints to avoid to look "frumpy" or whatnot. There actually is a difference between button-up and button-down. Button-ups are a standard button shirt, but a button down has the collar buttons for you to "button down" the collar.
